Verse 1

Luke 10:1

other -- heteros = others of a different kind. Not men to surplant the 12 apostles, or like them.

two ... in "twos" we find: courage, companionship and credibility

Verse 2

Luke 10:2

v. 2 1) Harvest is plentiful. - people all around, hurting.

2) Pray - for them and for workers

3) vs. 3 "Go"

4) v. 1 - Jesus - I will come and visit these towns ("You go, and I will come!")

"I was watching Satan falll ..." see NASV. Perfect imperfect action reapeated in time past. Everytime a devil cas out- Satan fell from heaven ... 1 John 3:8; Luke 11:14-22; Zechariah 13:2

a certain man ... Men fall into unfortunate situations, needing a helping had and encouraging word.

Help came from an unexpected source.

compassion ... Christians are people who have compassion. Christians are people who care!!
