Verse 1
For Zion's sake, &c. Not fulfilled, therefore, in the Gospel dispensation: for Zion is still trodden down of the Gentiles (Luke 21:24 ).

the Gentiles = nations.
called by a new name. As Abraham was (Genesis 17:5 ), and Jacob (Genesis 32:28 ).
