How Long, O Yahweh?

¹ How long, O Yahweh? Will You ^(C1)forget me forever?
How long ^(C2)will You hide Your face from me?

² How long shall I ^(C1)take counsel in my soul,
Having ^(C2)sorrow in my heart all the day?
How long will my enemy be exalted over me?

^3 (C1)Look and answer me, O Yahweh my God;
^(C2)Give light to my eyes, lest I ^(C3)sleep the sleep of death,

⁴ Lest my enemy ^(C1)says, "I have overcome him,"
And ^(C2)my adversaries rejoice that I am shaken.

⁵ But I have ^(C1)trusted in Your lovingkindness;
My heart shall ^(C2)rejoice in Your salvation.

⁶ I will ^(C1)sing to Yahweh,
Because He has ^(C2)dealt bountifully with me.
