Psalms 14
There Is No One Who Does Good
1 The (F1)wicked fool (C1)says in his heart, "There is no God."
They act corruptly, they commit abominable (F2)deeds;
There is (C2)no one who does good.
2 Yahweh (C1)looks down from heaven upon the sons of men
To see if there is anyone who (F1)(C2)has insight,
Anyone who (C3)seeks after God.
3 They have all (C1)turned aside, altogether they have become (F1)worthless;
There is (C2)no one who does good, not even one.
4 Do all the workers of iniquity (C1)not know,
Who (C2)eat up my people as they eat bread,
And (C3)do not call upon Yahweh?
5 There they are in great dread,
For God is with the (C1)righteous generation.
6 You would put to shame the counsel of the afflicted,
But Yahweh is his (C1)refuge.
7 Oh, that (C1)the salvation of Israel (F1)would come out of Zion!
When Yahweh (F2)(C2)restores His captive people,
May Jacob rejoice, may Israel be glad.
