Psalms 11

Yahweh Is in His Holy Temple

For the choir director. Of David.

1 In Yahweh I (C1)take refuge;
How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your (C2)mountain;

2 For, behold, the wicked (C1)bend the bow,
They (F1)(C2)make ready their arrow upon the string
To (C3)shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.

3 "If the (C1)foundations are destroyed,
What can the righteous do?"

4 Yahweh is in His (C1)holy temple; (F1)Yahweh's (C2)throne is in heaven;
His (C3)eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.

5 Yahweh (C1)tests the righteous,
But (C2)the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.

6 May He (C1)rain (F1)snares upon the wicked;
(C2)Fire and brimstone and (C3)burning wind will be the portion of (C4)their cup.

7 For Yahweh is (C1)righteous, (C2)He loves (F1)righteousness;
The upright will (C3)behold His face.
