Proverbs 12
1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, 2 One who is good obtains favor from the Lord,(C1) 3 No one can be made secure by wickedness, 4 A wife of noble character(F1) is her husband’s crown,(C1) 5 The thoughts of the righteous are just, 6 The words of the wicked are a deadly ambush,(C1) 7 The wicked are overthrown and perish,(C1) 8 A man is praised for his insight, 9 Better to be disregarded, yet have a servant, 10 The righteous cares about his animal’s health,(C1) 11 The one who works his land will have plenty of food,(C1) 12 The wicked desire what evil people have caught,(F1) 13 By rebellious speech an evil person is trapped,(C1) 14 A person will be satisfied with good 15 A fool’s way is right in his own eyes,(C1) 16 A fool’s displeasure is known at once, 17 Whoever speaks the truth declares what is right, 18 There is one who speaks rashly, 19 Truthful lips endure forever, 20 Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, 21 No disaster overcomes the righteous,(C1) 22 Lying lips are detestable to the Lord,(C1) 23 A shrewd person conceals knowledge, 24 The diligent hand will rule, 25 Anxiety in a person’s heart weighs it down, 26 A righteous person is careful in dealing with his neighbor,(F1) 27 A lazy hunter doesn’t roast his game,(C1) 28 There is life in the path of righteousness,
but he condemns a person who schemes.(C2)
but the root of the righteous is immovable.(C1)
but a wife who causes shame
is like rottenness in his bones.(C2)
but guidance from the wicked is deceitful.
but the speech of the upright rescues them.(C2)
but the house of the righteous will stand.(C2)
but a twisted mind is despised.
than to act important but have no food.(C1)
but even the merciful acts of the wicked are cruel.
but whoever chases fantasies lacks sense.(C2)
but the root of the righteous is productive.
but a righteous person escapes from trouble.(C2)
by the fruit of his mouth,(C1)
and the work of a person’s hands will reward him.(C2)
but whoever listens to counsel is wise.
but whoever ignores an insult is sensible.(C1)
but a false witness speaks deceit.(C1)
like a piercing sword;(C1)
but the tongue of the wise brings healing.(C2)
but a lying tongue, only a moment.(C1)
but those who promote peace have joy.(C1)
but the wicked are full of misery.
but faithful people are his delight.(C2)
but a foolish heart publicizes stupidity.(C1)
but laziness will lead to forced labor.(C1)
but a good word cheers it up.(C1)
but the ways of the wicked lead them astray.(C1)
but to a diligent person, his wealth is precious.(C2)
and in its path there is no death.(F1)(C1)
