And now, look, Adonijah reigns; and you, my lord the king, do not know it:
But instead, Adonijah has made himself king, and my lord the king does not even know about it.
And now, behold, Adonijah reigneth; and thou, my lord the king, knowest it not:
But now, unknown to you, Adonijah has become king.
But now, look, Adonijah has become king! But you, my master the king, are not even aware of it!
And now, behold, Adonijah reigneth; and now, my lord the king, thou knowest [it] not:
Now, behold, Adonijah reigns; and you, my lord the king, don't know it:
"But now, behold, Adonijah is [acting as] king; and now [as things stand], my lord the king, you do not know it.
And now, behold, Adonijah is king, although you, my lord the king, do not know it.
and lo! Adonye hath regnede now, `while thou, my lord the kyng, knowist not;
But now, behold, Adonijah has become king, and you, my lord the king, did not know it.
But Adonijah has already been made king, and you didn't know anything about it.
And now, behold, Adonijah reigneth; and thou, my lord the king, knowest it not:
And now, see, Adonijah has made himself king without my lord's knowledge;
But now, here is Adoniyah ruling as king; and you, my lord the king, don't know anything about it.
And now behold, Adonijah is king; and now, my lord the king, thou knowest it not.
Now, you don't know this, but Adonijah is making himself king.
And now, behold, Adonijah reigneth; and thou, my lord the king, knowest it not.
And now behold, Adoniiah reigneth; and now my lord the king, thou knowest it not.
Now, see, Adonijah is king. And my lord the king, you do not know it.
But now suddenly Adonijah has become king, though you, my lord the king, do not know it.
And beholde, nowe is Adoniiah king, and now, my lord, O King, thou knowest it not.
And now, behold, Adonijah reigns; and you, my lord the king, do not know it;
But Adonijah has already become king, and you don't know anything about it.
But, now, lo! Adonijah, hath become king; now, therefore, my lord, O king, thou knowest it not:
And behold, now Adonias reigneth, and thou, my lord the king, knowest nothing of it.
And now, behold, Adoni'jah is king, although you, my lord the king, do not know it.
And beholde, nowe is Adonia king, and thou my lorde the king knowest it not.
And now, behold, Adonias reigns, and thou, my lord, O king, knowest it not.
Now, behold, Adoniyahu reigns; and you, my lord the king, don't know it:
And now, behold, Adonijah reigneth; and now, my lord the king, thou knowest it not:
But now, look! Adonijah has become king! And now, my lord the king, you do not know!
And now, behold, Adonijah reigns. And now, my lord O king, you have not known.
and now, lo, Adonijah hath reigned, and now, my lord, O king, thou hast not known;
But now lo, Adonias is kynge, and my lorde the kynge knoweth it not.
"But now, behold, Adonijah is king; and now, my lord the king, you do not know it.
So now, look! Adonijah has become king; and now, my lord the king, you do not know about it.

And now, behold, Adonijah reigneth,.... Has set up himself as king, and is by some saluted as such; but lest it should be thought by David that she suggested by this that he was guilty of the breach of his oath, or on any account to be blamed, she adds:
and now my lord, O king, thou knowest [it] not; which as it acquitted him from all blame, so it made the sin of Adonijah the more heinous, that he should do this without consulting his father about it; and was not only neglect of him as a father, and an act of disrespect and disobedience to him as such, but even of high treason, to assume the throne in his father's lifetime, without his consent.
