The LORD Exalts the Humble.

^(C1)Praise, O ^(C2)servants of the LORD,
Praise the name of the LORD.

^2 (C1)Blessed be the name of the LORD
From this time forth and forever.

^3 (C1)From the rising of the sun to its setting
The ^(C2)name of the LORD is to be praised with awe-inspired reverence.

⁴ The LORD is ^(C1)high above all nations,
And His ^(C2)glory above the heavens.

^5 (C1)Who is like the LORD our God,
Who is ^(C2)enthroned on high,

⁶ Who ^(C1)humbles Himself to regard
The heavens and the earth? ^(VR1)

⁷ He ^(C1)raises the poor out of the dust
And lifts the needy from the ash heap,

⁸ That He may ^(C1)seat them with princes,
With the princes of His people.

⁹ He ^(C1)makes the barren woman live in the house
As a joyful mother of children.
