1 God has shown us such mercy that we do not lose courage as we do the work he has given us.

1 Therefore, having this ministry, as we have had mercy shewn us, we faint not.

1 Therefore, seeing that we haue this ministerie, as we haue receiued mercy, we faint not:

1 FOR this reason we are not weary of the ministry in which we are engaged, just as we are not weary of the mercies that have been upon us;

Proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord

1 Because of this, since we[a] have this ministry, just as we have been shown mercy, we do not lose heart,

1 Therefore, having this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we do not faint.

1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we faint not:

1 For this reason, because we have been made servants of this new order, through the mercy given to us, we are strong:

1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we don't faint.

1 Therefore, since we have this ministry through the mercy shown to us, we do not get discouraged.[xr]

1 ON this account we have not weariness in this ministry which we have received, according to the mercies that are upon us.

1 Therefore, we are not weary in this ministry which we have received, according to the mercies that have been upon us:

1 Therfore, seyng that we haue such a ministerie, as we haue receaued mercie, we faynt not:

1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we faint not:

1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we don't faint.

1 Therefore having this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not: But have renounced the hidden things of shame,

1 Therefore, being engaged in this service and being mindful of the mercy which has been shown us, we are not cowards.

1 Therfor we that han this admynystracioun, aftir this that we han getun merci,

1 Therefore seeing we have this service even as we obtained mercy, we do not faint:

1 Therefore, seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

Paul Is Faithful in Preaching the Good News

1 Through God's loving-kindness, He has given us this job to do. So we do not give up.

1 Therefore, since it is by God's mercy that we are engaged in this ministry, we do not lose heart.

1 Wherefore, having this ministry, even as we received mercy, we faint not;

1 Therefore seeing we have this ministration, according as we have obtained mercy, we faint not.

1 Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart.

1 Therfore seinge that we have soche an office eve as mercy is come on vs we faynte not:

1 Because of this, having this ministration, according as we did receive kindness, we do not faint,

1 Because of this, having this ministry, according as we received kindness, we do not faint,

1 Therfore seynge we haue soch an office (euen as mercy is come vpon vs) we faynte not,

1 Therefore, having by the divine favour such a ministry, I exert myself: 1-2 Since God has so generously let us in on what he is doing, we're not about to throw up our hands and walk off the job just because we run into occasional hard times. We refuse to wear masks and play games. We don't maneuver and manipulate behind the scenes. And we don't twist God's Word to suit ourselves. Rather, we keep everything we do and say out in the open, the whole truth on display, so that those who want to can see and judge for themselves in the presence of God.

1 God has mercifully given us a spot on his outfit. He assigned us this work to do and we never give up. 2 Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful things, not acting(C1) deceitfully or distorting the word of God,(C2) but commending ourselves before God to everyone’s conscience by an open display of the truth.(C3) 2 But haue renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftines, nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the trueth, commending our selues to euery mans conscience, in the sight of God.

2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2 But we have renounced (c)disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice[b] cunning or (d)to tamper with God's word, but (e)by the open statement of the truth (f)we would commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of God.2 but we have renounced the (C1)things hidden because of shame, not walking in trickery nor (C2)distorting the word of God, but by the open proclamation of the truth (C3)commending ourselves to every person's conscience in the sight of God. 2 But we have turned away from secret and shameful ways. We use no trickery, and we do not change the teaching of God. We teach the truth plainly, showing everyone who we are. Then they can know in their hearts what kind of people we are in God's sight. 2 But we have renounced the disgraceful (C1)things hidden because of shame; not walking in trickery or (C2)adulterating the word of God, but by stating the truth openly and plainly, we (C3)commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of God.2 but we have renounced the (C1)things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or (C2)adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth (C3)commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.2 but we have renounced the (C1)hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness or (C2)adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth (C3)commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.2 Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful ways. We do not practice deceit, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by open proclamation of the truth, we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 2 We don't do shameful things that must be kept secret. And we don't try to fool anyone or twist God's message around. God is our witness that we speak only the truth, so others will be sure that we can be trusted. 2 Indeed, we refuse to make use of shameful underhanded methods, employing deception or distorting God's message. On the contrary, by making very clear what the truth is, we commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of God.

2 But we have rejected the hidden things of shame, not walking in deceit, nor falsifying the word of God, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every conscience of men before God. 2 But we have turned away from secret and shameful ways. We don't use trickery, and we don't change the teaching of God. We teach the truth plainly. This is how we show people who we are. And this is how they can know in their hearts what kind of people we are before God.2 But haue cast from vs ye clokes of shame, and walke not in craftines, neither handle we the worde of God deceitfully: but in declaration of the trueth we approue our selues to euery mans conscience in the sight of God.2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, and we do not practice cunning, nor do we handle the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth we commend ourselves to every man''s conscience before God. 2 We put aside all secret and shameful deeds; we do not act with deceit, nor do we falsify the word of God. In the full light of truth we live in God's sight and try to commend ourselves to everyone's good conscience. 2 but we have renounced shameful hidden things, not behaving with craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but with the open proclamation of the truth commending ourselves to every person's conscience before God. 2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor corrupting the Word of God, but by the revelation of the truth commending ourselves to every conscience of men before God. 2 but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2 And we have given up the secret things of shame, not walking in false ways, and not making use of the word of God with deceit; but by the revelation of what is true, as before God, we have the approval of every man's sense of right and wrong.2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2 Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful ways. We do not use trickery or pervert God's word. By clear statements of the truth we commend ourselves to everyone's conscience before God.[xr] 2 But we have rejected the secrets of shamefulness; and walk not with craft, nor deal deceitfully (with) the word of Aloha; but by the revelation of the truth make we ourselves manifest to the minds of all men before Aloha.2 But we have renounced the concealments of dishonor, and we walk not in craftiness, nor do we treat the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth, we exhibit ourselves to all the consciences of men before God.2 But haue cast from vs the clokes of vnhonestie, and walke not in craftynesse, neither handle we the word of God disceitefully, but in openyng of the trueth, and report our selues to euery mans conscience in the syght of God.2 but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2 not walking in craftiness, nor deceitfully corrupting the word of God, but by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.2 Nay, we have renounced the secrecy which marks a feeling of shame. We practice no cunning tricks, nor do we adulterate God's Message. But by a full clear statement of the truth we strive to commend ourselves in the presence of God to every human conscience.2 faile we not, but do we awei the preue thingis of schame, not walkinge in sutil gile, nether doynge auoutrye bi the word of God, but in schewynge of the treuthe comendynge vs silf to ech conscience of men bifor God.2 but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty; not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but, by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2 But we have rejected shameful hidden deeds, not behaving with deceptiveness or distorting the word of God, but by open proclamation of the truth we commend ourselves to everyone's conscience before God. 2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2 We reject all shameful deeds and underhanded methods. We don't try to trick anyone or distort the word of God. We tell the truth before God, and all who are honest know this. 2 We have put away all things that are done in secret and in shame. We do not play with the Word of God or use it in a false way. Because we are telling the truth, we want men's hearts to listen to us. God knows our desires. 2 We have renounced the shameful things that one hides; we refuse to practice cunning or to falsify God's word; but by the open statement of the truth we commend ourselves to the conscience of everyone in the sight of God. 2 But have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully, - but, by the manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves unto every conscience of men, in the sight of God.2 But we renounce the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness nor adulterating the word of God: but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience, in the sight of God.2 We have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways; we refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God's word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.2 but have cast from vs the clokes of vnhonestie and walke not in craftines nether corrupte we the worde of God: but walke in open trueth and reporte oure selves to every mannes conscience in the sight of God.2 but did renounce for ourselves the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor deceitfully using the word of God, but by the manifestation of the truth recommending ourselves unto every conscience of men, before God;2 but renounced for ourselves the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor deceitfully using the word of God, but by the manifestation of the truth recommending ourselves to every conscience of men, before God;2 but cast from vs the clokes of vnhonestye, and walke not in craftines: nether corruppe we the worde of God but open the trueth, and reporte oure selues to euery mans conscyence in the sighte of God.2 renouncing all secret dishonesty, and void of all artifice, I deliver the word of God unadulterated, and recommend my self by urging the truth home to every man's conscience, as in the presence of God. 2 But we have given up on our old shameful deeds and underhanded way of living. We don't try to trick people or distort the word of God. We explain the truth in a way you can understand it, and those who are honest know it. 3 But if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 3 But if our Gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 3 And even (g)if our gospel is veiled, (h)it is veiled to (i)those who are perishing.3 And even if our (C1)gospel is (C2)veiled, it is veiled (F1)to (C3)those who are perishing, 3 If the Good News that we preach is hidden, it is hidden only to those who are lost. 3 But even if our (C1)gospel is in some sense (C2)hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only to (C3)those who are perishing;3 And even if our (C1)gospel is (C2)veiled, it is veiled (F1)to (C3)those who are perishing,3 And even if our (C1)gospel is (C2)veiled, it is veiled (F1)to (C3)those who are perishing,3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 3 If there is anything hidden about our message, it is hidden only to someone who is lost. 3 So if indeed our Good News is veiled, it is veiled only to those in the process of being lost.

3 But if also our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in those that are lost; 3 The Good News that we tell people may be hidden, but it is hidden only to those who are lost.3 If our Gospell bee then hid, it is hid to them that are lost.3 If our gospel is hidden, it is hidden to those who are lost: 3 For if the gospel we preach is hidden, it is hidden only from those who are being lost. 3 But if indeed our gospel is veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, 3 But also if our gospel is being hidden, it has been hidden in those being lost, 3 And even if our [a]gospel is veiled, it is veiled in them that [b]perish: 3 But if our good news is veiled, it is veiled from those who are on the way to destruction:3 Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who perish; 3 So if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are dying.[fn][xr] 3 But if our gospel is hid, to those who perish is it hid:3 And if our gospel is vailed, it is vailed to them that perish;3 Yf our Gospell be yet hyd, it is hyd in them that are lost:3 But and if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in them that are perishing: 3 Even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in those who perish; 3 But if our gospel also is veiled, it is veiled to them that perish;3 If, however, the meaning of our Good News has been veiled, the veil has been on the hearts of those who are on the way to perdition,3 For if also oure gospel is kyuerid, in these that perischen it is kyuerid;3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in those that perish:3 But if our gospel is hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing, 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,

3 If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. 3 If the Good News we preach is hidden, it is hidden to those who are lost in sin. 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 3 And, even if our glad-message is veiled, in them who are perishing, it is veiled,3 And if our gospel be also hid, it is hid to them that are lost,3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing.3 Yf oure Gospell be yet hyd it is hid amoge them that are lost3 and if also our good news is vailed, in those perishing it is vailed,3 and if our good news is also veiled, it is veiled in those perishing,3 Yf oure Gospell be yet hyd, it is hyd in them that are lost:3 but if our gospel be obscure, it is so only to those who are lost: 3-4 If our Message is obscure to anyone, it's not because we're holding back in any way. No, it's because these other people are looking or going the wrong way and refuse to give it serious attention. All they have eyes for is the fashionable god of darkness. They think he can give them what they want, and that they won't have to bother believing a Truth they can't see. They're stone-blind to the dayspring brightness of the Message that shines with Christ, who gives us the best picture of God we'll ever get.3 If the good news seems too hard to understand to some folks, it because those people are lost and don't know God. 4 In their case, the god of this age(C1) has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ,(F1)(C2) who is the image of God.(C3) 4 In whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them which beleeue not, lest the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine vnto them.

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 4 In their case (j)the god of this world (k)has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing (l)the light of (m)the gospel of the glory of Christ, (n)who is the image of God.4 in whose case (C1)the god of (C2)this (F1)world has (C3)blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that (F2)they will not see the (C4)light of the gospel of the (C5)glory of Christ, who is the (C6)image of God. 4 The devil who rules this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe. They cannot see the light of the Good News—the Good News about the glory of Christ, who is exactly like God. 4 among them (C1)the god of (C2)this world Satan has (C3)blinded the minds of the unbelieving to prevent them from seeing the illuminating (C4)light of the gospel of the (C5)glory of Christ, who is the (C6)image of God.4 in whose case (C1)the god of (C2)this (F1)world has (C3)blinded the minds of the unbelieving (F2)so that they might not see the (C4)light of the gospel of the (C5)glory of Christ, who is the (C6)image of God.4 in whose case (C1)the god of (C2)this age has (C3)blinded the minds of the unbelieving (F1)so that they might not see the (C4)light of the gospel of the (C5)glory of Christ, who is the (C6)image of God.4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

4 The god who rules this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers. They cannot see the light, which is the good news about our glorious Christ, who shows what God is like. 4 They do not come to trust because the god of the ‘olam hazeh has blinded their minds, in order to prevent them from seeing the light shining from the Good News about the glory of the Messiah, who is the image of God.

4 in whom the god of this world has blinded the thoughts of the unbelieving, so that the radiancy of the glad tidings of the glory of the Christ, who is [the] image of God, should not shine forth [for them]. 4 The ruler[a] of this world has blinded the minds of those who don't believe. They cannot see the light of the Good News—the message about the divine greatness of Christ. Christ is the one who is exactly like God.4 In whom the God of this world hath blinded the mindes, that is, of the infidels, that the light of the glorious Gospell of Christ, which is the image of God, should not shine vnto them.4 To those in this world whose minds have been blinded by God, because they did not believe, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the likeness of God, should shine on them. 4 They do not believe, because their minds have been kept in the dark by the evil god of this world. He keeps them from seeing the light shining on them, the light that comes from the Good News about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. 4 among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that they would not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 4 in whom the god of this age has blinded the thoughts of the unbelieving, so that the brightness of the gospel of the glory of Christ who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. 4 in whom the god of this [c]world hath blinded the [d]minds of the unbelieving, [e]that the [f]light of the [g]gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn upon them. 4 Because the god of this world has made blind the minds of those who have not faith, so that the light of the good news of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, might not be shining on them.4 in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Messiah, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. 4 In their case, the god of this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe to keep them from seeing the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God.[xr] 4 (to) them whose minds the god of this world hath blinded because they believe not; lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Meshiha, who is the image of Aloha, should arise upon them.4 to them whose minds the God of this world hath blinded, in order that they might not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of the Messiah (who is the likeness of God) should dawn upon them.4 In whom the god of this worlde hath blinded the myndes of them whiche beleue not, lest the lyght of the Gospell of the glorie of Christe (which is the image of God) should shine vnto them.4 in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn [upon them]. 4 in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. 4 Whose unbelieving minds the god of this world hath blinded, lest the illumination of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine upon them.4 in whom the god of this present age has blinded their unbelieving minds so as to shut out the sunshine of the Good News of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God.4 in which God hath blent the soulis of vnfeithful men of this world, that the liytnyng of the gospel of the glorie of Crist, which is the ymage of God, schyne not.4 in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn [on them].4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine to them. 4 among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of those who do not believe so they would not see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God. 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. 4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don't understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. 4 The eyes of those who do not believe are made blind by Satan who is the god of this world. He does not want the light of the Good News to shine in their hearts. This Good News shines as the shining-greatness of Christ. Christ is as God is. 4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 4 In whom, the god of this age, hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, to the end they may not discern the radiance e of the glad-message of the glory of the Christ - who is the image of God.4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of unbelievers, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine unto them.4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the likeness of God.4 in whom ye god of this worlde hath blynded the myndes of them which beleve not lest the light of ye glorious gospell of Christ which is the ymage of god shuld shyne vnto them.4 in whom the god of this age did blind the minds of the unbelieving, that there doth not shine forth to them the enlightening of the good news of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God;4 in whom the god of this age blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that there does not shine forth to them the enlightening of the good news of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God;4 amonge whom the God of this worlde hath blynded ye myndes of them which beleue not, that ye lighte of the Gospell of the glory of Christ ( which is the ymage of God) shulde not shyne vnto them.4 to those unbelievers, whose minds the God of this world has so blinded, that the glorious lustre of the gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, does not enlighten them. 4 That old devil has put blinders on those who don't believe. They just can't see the good news. They have chosen to live in darkness with the devil rather than live in the light with God. 5 For we are not proclaiming ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord,(C1) and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’s sake. 5 For we preach not our selues, but Christ Iesus the Lord, and our selues your seruants for Iesus sake.

5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 5 For what (o)we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with (p)ourselves as your servants[c] for Jesus' sake.5 For we (C1)do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants (F1)on account of Jesus. 5 We do not preach about ourselves, but we preach that Jesus Christ is Lord and that we are your servants for Jesus. 5 For we (C1)do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves merely as your bond-servants for Jesus' sake.5 For we (C1)do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants (F1)for Jesus' sake.5 For we (C1)do not preach ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves (F1)for the sake of Jesus.5 For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. 5 We are not preaching about ourselves. Our message is that Jesus Christ is Lord. (Romans 6:1-14 6 The Scriptures say, "God commanded light to shine in the dark." Now God is shining in our hearts to let you know that his glory is seen in Jesus Christ. 6 For it is the God who once said, "Let light shine out of darkness," who has made his light shine in our hearts, the light of the knowledge of God's glory shining in the face of the Messiah Yeshua.
