2 Corinthians 11
Paul and the False Apostles
1 I wish you would put up with a little foolishness(C1) from me. Yes, do put up with me!(F1)
1 Would to God you could beare with mee a little in my folly, & in deede beare with me.
1 Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.
Paul and the False Apostles
1 I wish you would bear with me in a little foolishness. Do bear with me!
Paul Defends His Apostleship
1 I wish that you would (C1)bear with me in a little (C2)foolishness; but (F1)indeed you are bearing with me.
Paul and the False Apostles
1 I wish you would be patient with me even when I am a little foolish, but you are already doing that.
Paul Defends His Apostleship
1 I wish you would (C1)bear with me while I indulge in a little (C2)foolishness; but indeed you are bearing with me as you read this.
Paul Defends His Apostleship
1 I wish that you would (C1)bear with me in a little (C2)foolishness; but (F1)indeed you are bearing with me.
Paul Defends His Apostleship
1 I wish that you would (C1)bear with me in a little (C2)foolishness, but (F1)indeed you are bearing with me.
Paul and the False Apostles
1 I hope you will bear with a little of my foolishness, but you are already doing that.
Paul and the False Apostles
1 Please put up with a little of my foolishness.
1 I would like you to bear with me in a little foolishness — please do bear with me!
1 Would that ye would bear with me [in] a little folly; but indeed bear with me.
Paul and the False Apostles
1 I wish you would be patient with me even when I am a little foolish. But you are already patient with me.
1 Woulde to God, yee coulde suffer a litle my foolishnes, & in deede, ye suffer me.
1 I WISH you to be patient with me for a while, so that I may speak plainly, and I am sure you will be.
Paul and the False Apostles
1 I wish you would tolerate me, even when I am a bit foolish. Please do!
Paul Defends His Apostleship
1 I wish that you would put up with me in something a little foolish[a]—but indeed you are putting up with me.
1 I would that you endured me a little in foolishness, but, indeed, endure me.
1 Would that ye could bear with me in a little foolishness: [a]but indeed ye do bear with me.
1 Put up with me if I am a little foolish: but, truly, you do put up with me.
1 I wish that you would bear with me in a little foolishness, but indeed you do bear with me.
1 I wish you would put up with a little foolishness of mine. Yes, do put up with me![xr]
1 BUT I could desire that you could tolerate me a little that I may speak foolishly.
1 I would that ye could bear with me a little, that I might talk foolishly: and indeed, bear ye with me.
1 Would to God ye coulde haue suffred me a litle in my foolishnesse: and in dede ye do forbeare me.
1 Would that ye could bear with me in a little foolishness: nay indeed bear with me.
1 I wish that you would bear with me in a little foolishness, but indeed you do bear with me.
1 I wish ye would bear a little with my folly; yea, bear with me.
1 I wish you could have borne with a little foolish boasting on my part. Nay, do bear with me.
1 I wolde that ye wolden suffre a litil thing of myn vnwisdom, but also supporte ye me.
1 Would that you could bear with me in a little foolishness: but indeed you do bear with me.
1 I earnestly wish ye could bear with me a little in [my] folly: and indeed bear with me.
Paul and His Opponents
1 I wish that you would be patient with me in a little foolishness, but indeed you are being patient with me!
1 Oh, that you would bear with me in a little folly--and indeed you do bear with me.
Paul and the False Apostles
1 I hope you will put up with a little more of my foolishness. Please bear with me.
Paul—the True Missionary
1 I wish you would listen to a little foolish talk from me. Now listen.
Paul and the False Apostles
1 I wish you would bear with me in a little foolishness. Do bear with me!
1 I could wish ye would bear with me as to some little foolishness, - Nay! do even bear with me!
1 Would to God you could bear with some little of my folly! But do bear with me.
1 I wish you would bear with me in a little foolishness. Do bear with me!
1 Wolde to god ye coulde suffre me a lytell in my folysshnes: yee and I praye you forbeare me.
1 O that ye were bearing with me a little of the folly, but ye also do bear with me:
1 O that you were bearing with me a little of the folly, but you also bear with me:
1 Wolde God ye coulde suffre me a litle in my foloshnes, yet do ye forbeare me.
1 Would you could bear with me a little in my vanity, but indeed you do bear with me. 1-3 Will you put up with a little foolish aside from me? Please, just for a moment. The thing that has me so upset is that I care about you so much—this is the passion of God burning inside me! I promised your hand in marriage to Christ, presented you as a pure virgin to her husband. And now I'm afraid that exactly as the Snake seduced Eve with his smooth patter, you are being lured away from the simple purity of your love for Christ.
1 What I need from y'all right now though is a little patience for a cowboy who has been on the trail for a long time. Paul and the Wannabe Cowboys
2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 2 For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since (a)I betrothed you to one husband, (b)to present you (c)as a pure virgin to Christ.2 For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I (C1)betrothed you to one husband, to (C2)present you as a pure virgin to Christ. 2 I am jealous over you with a jealousy that comes from God. I promised to give you to Christ, as your only husband. I want to give you as his pure bride. 2 I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy because I have (C1)promised you to one husband, to (C2)present you as a pure virgin to Christ. (VR1)2 For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I (C1)betrothed you to one husband, so that to Christ I might (C2)present you as a pure virgin.2 For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy, for I (C1)betrothed you to one husband, so that I might (C2)present you as a pure virgin to Christ.2 I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. For I promised you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ. 2 I am as concerned about you as God is. You were like a virgin bride I had chosen only for Christ. 2 For I am jealous for you with God's kind of jealousy; since I promised to present you as a pure virgin in marriage to your one husband, the Messiah;
2 For I am jealous as to you with a jealousy [which is] of God; for I have espoused you unto one man, to present [you] a chaste virgin to Christ. 2 I am jealous for you with a jealousy that comes from God. I promised to give you to Christ. He must be your only husband. I want to give you to Christ to be his pure bride.[a]2 For I am ielous ouer you, with godly ielousie: for I haue prepared you for one husband, to present you as a pure virgine to Christ:2 For I am zealous for you with the zealousness of God, for I have espoused you to a husband, that I may present you as a pure virgin to Christ. 2 I am jealous for you, just as God is; you are like a pure virgin whom I have promised in marriage to one man only, Christ himself. 2 For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy, because I promised you in marriage to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ. 2 For I am jealous over you with a jealousy of God. For I have promised you to one Man, to present you a pure virgin to Christ. 2 For I am jealous over you with [b]a godly jealousy: for I espoused you to one husband, that I might present you as a pure virgin to Christ. 2 For I have a very great care for you: because you have been married by me to one husband, and it is my desire to give you completely holy to Christ.2 For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy. For I married you to one husband, that I might present you as a pure virgin to Messiah. 2 I am jealous of you with God's own jealousy, because I promised you in marriage to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ.[xr] 2 Nevertheless tolerate me, for I am zealous towards you with the zeal of Aloha; for I have betrothed you to one man, a pure virgin, whom I would bring unto the Meshiha.2 For I am jealous over you, with a godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to a husband as a chaste virgin, whom I would present to the Messiah.2 For I am gelous ouer you, with Godly gelousie: For I haue coupled you to one man, to present [you] a chaste virgin vnto Christe.2 For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy: for I espoused you to one husband, that I might present you [as] a pure virgin to Christ. 2 For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy. For I married you to one husband, that I might present you as a pure virgin to Christ. 2 For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy; for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.2 I am jealous over you with God's own jealousy. For I have betrothed you to Christ to present you to Him like a faithful bride to her one husband.2 For Y loue you bi the loue of God; for Y haue spousid you to oon hosebonde, to yelde a chast virgyn to Crist.2 For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy: for I espoused you to one husband, that I might present you [as] a pure virgin to Christ.2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present [you as] a chaste virgin to Christ. 2 For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy, because I promised you in marriage to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ. 2 For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 2 For I am jealous for you with the jealousy of God himself. I promised you as a pure bride[a] to one husband—Christ. 2 I am jealous for you with a God-like jealousy. I have given you, as a woman who has never had a man, to one Husband, Who is Christ. 2 I feel a divine jealousy for you, for I promised you in marriage to one husband, to present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 2 For I am jealous over you with a jealousy, of God; for I myself betrothed you unto one husband, to present, a chaste virgin, unto the Christ, - 2 For I am jealous of you with the jealousy of God. For I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.2 I feel a divine jealousy for you, for I betrothed you to Christ to present you as a pure bride to her one husband.2 For I am gelous over you with godly gelousy. For I coupled you to one man to make you a chaste virgen to Christ.2 for I am zealous for you with zeal of God, for I did betroth you to one husband, a pure virgin, to present to Christ,2 for I am zealous for you with zeal of God, for I betrothed you to one Husband, a pure virgin, to present to Christ,2 For I am gelous ouer you wt godly gelousy. For I haue maried you vnto one ma, to brynge a chaste virgin vnto Christ.2 for I am jealous over you with religious jealousy: since I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 2 You see, I've promised you to Jesus like a father promising his virgin daughter to a king. 3 But I fear that, as the serpent(C1) deceived(C2) Eve(C3) by his cunning, your minds may be seduced from a sincere and pure(F1) devotion to Christ.(C4) 3 But I feare lest by any meanes, as the Serpent beguiled Eue through his subtilty, so your mindes should bee corrupted from the simplicitie that is in Christ.
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 3 But I am afraid that (d)as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts (e)will be led astray from a (f)sincere and (g)pure devotion to Christ.3 But I am afraid that, as the (C1)serpent deceived Eve by his trickery, your minds will be led astray from sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 3 But I am afraid that your minds will be led away from your true and pure following of Christ just as Eve was tricked by the snake with his evil ways. 3 But I am afraid that, even as the (C1)serpent beguiled Eve by his cunning, your minds may be corrupted and led away from the simplicity of your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. (VR1)3 But I am afraid that, as the (C1)serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.3 But I fear that, as the (C1)serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be corrupted from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.3 I am afraid, however, that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may be led astray from your simple and pure devotion to Christ. 3 But now I fear that you will be tricked, just as Eve was tricked by that lying snake. I am afraid that you might stop thinking about Christ in an honest and sincere way. 3 and I fear that somehow your minds may be seduced away from simple and pure devotion to the Messiah, just as Havah was deceived by the serpent and his craftiness.
3 But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craft, [so] your thoughts should be corrupted from simplicity as to the Christ. 3 But I am afraid that your minds will be led away from your true and pure following of Christ. This could happen just as Eve was tricked by that snake with his clever lies.3 But I feare least as the serpent beguiled Eue through his subtiltie, so your mindes shoulde be corrupt fro the simplicitie that is in Christ.3 But I am afraid, that just as the serpent through his deceitfulness misled Eve, so your minds should be corrupted from the sincerity that is in Christ. 3 (a)I am afraid that your minds will be corrupted and that you will abandon your full and pure devotion to Christ—in the same way that Eve was deceived by the snake's clever lies. 3 But I am afraid lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds may be led astray from the sincerity and the purity of devotion to Christ. 3 But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent deceived Eve in his craftiness, so your thoughts should be corrupted from the purity which is due to Christ. 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve in his craftiness, your [c]minds should be corrupted from the simplicity and the purity that is toward Christ. 3 But I have a fear, that in some way, as Eve was tricked by the deceit of the snake, your minds may be turned away from their simple and holy love for Christ.3 But I am afraid that by any means, as the serpent deceived Havah in his craftiness, so your minds might be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Messiah. 3 However, I am afraid that just as the serpent deceived Eve by its tricks, so your minds may somehow be lured away from sincere and pure[fn] devotion to Christ.[xr] 3 But I fear lest, as the serpent deceived 'Hava by his guile, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is toward the Meshiha.3 But I fear, lest, as the serpent beguiled Eve by his craftiness, so your minds should be corrupted from simplicity towards the Messiah.3 But I feare lest by any meanes, that as the serpent begyled Eue through his subtiltie, euen so your myndes shoulde be corrupted fro the singlenesse that is towarde Christe.3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve in his craftiness, your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity and the purity that is toward Christ. 3 But I am afraid that by any means, as the serpent deceived Eve in his craftiness, so your minds might be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 3 But I fear lest as the serpent deceived Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from simplicity toward Christ.3 But I am afraid that, as the serpent in his craftiness deceived Eve, so your minds may be led astray from their single-heartedness and their fidelity to Christ.3 But Y drede, lest as the serpent disseyuede Eue with his sutil fraude, so youre wittis ben corrupt, and fallen doun fro the symplenesse that is in Crist.3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve in his craftiness, your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity and the purity that is toward Christ.3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 3 But I am afraid that just as the serpent deceived Eve by his treachery, your minds may be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity [fn] that is in Christ. 3 But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. 3 Eve was fooled by the snake in the garden of Eden. In the same way, I am afraid that you will be fooled and led away from your pure love for Christ. 3 But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by its cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure[a] devotion to Christ. 3 But I fear lest, by any means, as, the serpent, completely deceived Eve, in his craftiness, your minds should be corrupted from the singleness and the chastenesswhich are due unto the Christ.3 But I fear lest, as the serpent seduced Eve by his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted and fall from the simplicity that is in Christ.3 But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.3 But I feare lest as the serpent begyled Eve thorow his sutteltie even so youre wittes shuld be corrupte from the singlenes that is in Christ.3 and I fear, lest, as the serpent did beguile Eve in his subtilty, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that [is] in the Christ;3 and I fear, lest, as the serpent deceived Eve in his subtlety, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that [is] in the Christ;3 But I feare, lest as ye serpet begyled Eue wt his sutteltie, eue so yor wyttes shulde be corrupte from the synglenesse that is in Christ.3 but I fear lest by some means or other, as Eve was beguiled by the subtilly of the serpent, your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is due to Christ. 3 But I think y'all are anything but pure. Y'all have passed yourselves around like a bad cold. Your loyalty to the brand has been corrupted. Y'all have been seduced like Eve was in the beginning. 4 For if a person comes and preaches another Jesus,(C1) whom we did not preach, or you receive a different spirit,(C2) which you had not received, or a different gospel,(C3) which you had not accepted, you put up with it splendidly!
4 For if he that commeth preacheth another Iesus whome wee haue not preached, or if yee receiue another spirit, which ye haue not receiued, or another Gospel, which ye haue not accepted, yee might well beare with him.4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. 4 For if someone comes and (h)proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept (i)a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.4 For if (F1)one comes and preaches (C1)another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a (C2)different spirit which you have not received, or a (C3)different gospel which you have not accepted, this you (C4)tolerate (C5)very well! 4 You are very patient with anyone who comes to you and preaches a different Jesus from the one we preached. You are very willing to accept a spirit or gospel that is different from the Spirit and Good News you received from us.4 For you seem willing to allow it if one comes and preaches (C1)another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a (C2)different spirit from the one you received, or a (C3)different gospel from the one you accepted. You (C4)tolerate all this (C5)beautifully welcoming the deception.4 For if (F1)one comes and preaches (C1)another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a (C2)different spirit which you have not received, or a (C3)different gospel which you have not accepted, you (C4)bear this (C5)beautifully.4 For if (F1)one comes and preaches (C1)another Jesus whom we did not preach, or you receive a (C2)different spirit which you did not receive, or a (C3)different gospel which you did not accept, you (C4)bear this (C5)beautifully.4 For if someone comes and proclaims a Jesus other than the One we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit than the One you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted, you put up with it way too easily. 4 We told you about Jesus, and you received the Holy Spirit and accepted our message. But you let some people tell you about another Jesus. Now you are ready to receive another spirit and accept a different message. 4 For if someone comes and tells you about some other Yeshua than the one we told you about, or if you receive a spirit different from the one you received or accept some so-called "good news" different from the Good News you already accepted, you bear with him well enough!
4 For if indeed he that comes preaches another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or ye get a different Spirit, which ye have not got, or a different glad tidings, which ye have not received, ye might well bear with [it]. 4 You seem to be quite patient with anyone who comes to you and tells you about a Jesus that is different from the Jesus we told you about. You seem very willing to accept a spirit or a message that is different from the Spirit and message that you received from us.4 For if he that commeth, preacheth another Iesus whome we haue not preached: or if yee receiue another spirite whome ye haue not receiued: either another Gospell, which yee haue not receiued, ye might well haue suffered him.4 For if he who has come to you preaches another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if you have received another spirit, which you had not received, or another gospel which you had not accepted, you might well listen to him. 4 For you gladly tolerate anyone who comes to you and preaches a different Jesus, not the one we preached; and you accept a spirit and a gospel completely different from the Spirit and the gospel you received from us! 4 For if the one who comes proclaims another Jesus whom we have not proclaimed, or you receive a different spirit which you did not receive, or a different gospel which you did not accept, you put up with it well enough! 4 For if, indeed, the one coming proclaims another Jesus, whom we have not proclaimed, or if you receive another spirit which you have not received, or another gospel which you never accepted, you might well endure these . 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or if ye receive a different spirit, which ye did not receive, or a different [d]gospel, which ye did not accept, ye do well to bear with him. 4 For if anyone comes preaching another Jesus from the one whose preachers we are, or if you have got a different spirit, or a different sort of good news from those which came to you, how well you put up with these things.4 For if he who comes preaches another Yeshua, whom we did not preach, or if you receive a different spirit, which you did not receive, or a different Good News, which you did not accept, you put up with that well enough. 4 For if someone comes along and preaches another Jesus than the one we preached, or should you receive a different spirit from the one you received or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you are all too willing to listen.[xr] 4 For if he who hath come to you shall preach to you another Jeshu, whom we have not preached, or you receive another Spirit which you have not received or another gospel which you have not accepted, you would have been well persuaded.4 For if he that cometh to you, had proclaimed to you another Jesus, whom we have not proclaimed; or if ye had received another Spirit, which ye have not received; or another gospel, which ye have not accepted; ye might well have given assent.4 For yf he that commeth, preacheth another Iesus, whom we haue not preached: or yf ye receaue another spirite whom ye haue not receaued: either another Gospell which ye haue not receaued, you woulde well haue suffered [hym].4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or [if] ye receive a different spirit, which ye did not receive, or a different gospel, which ye did not accept, ye do well to bear with [him]. 4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or if you receive a different spirit, which you did not receive, or a different gospel, which you did not accept, you put up with that well enough. 4 If indeed he that cometh preach another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another Spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.4 If indeed some visitor is proclaiming among you another Jesus whom we did not proclaim, or if you are receiving a Spirit different from the One you have already received or a Good News different from that which you have already welcomed, your toleration is admirable!4 For if he that cometh, prechith anothir Crist, whom we precheden not, or if ye taken another spirit, whom ye token not, or another gospel, which ye resseyueden not, riytli ye schulden suffre.4 For if he that comes preaches another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or [if] you receive a different spirit, which you did not receive, or a different gospel, which you did not accept, you do well to bear with [him].4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or [if] ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with [him]. 4 For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus different from the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit than the one you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted, you put up with it well enough! 4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it! 4 You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed. 4 You listen when someone comes and preaches a different Jesus than the One we preached. You believe what you hear about a different spirit and different good news than that which we preached. 4 For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you submit to it readily enough. 4 For, if, indeed, he that cometh, is proclaiming, another Jesus, whom we have not proclaimed, or, a different Spirit, ye are receiving, which ye had not received, or a different glad-message, which ye have never welcomed, ye are, well, bearing.4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Christ, whom we have not preached; or if you receive another Spirit, whom you have not received; or another gospel, which you have not received: you might well bear with him.4 For if some one comes and preaches another Jesus than the one we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you submit to it readily enough.4 For if he that commeth preache another Iesus then hym whom we preached: or if ye receave another sprete then that which ye have receaved: other another gospell then that ye have receaved ye myght right wel have bene content.4 for if, indeed, he who is coming doth preach another Jesus whom we did not preach, or another Spirit ye receive which ye did not receive, or other good news which ye did not accept -- well were ye bearing [it],4 for if, indeed, he who is coming preaches another Jesus whom we did not preach, or you receive another spirit which you did not receive, or other good news which you did not accept—well were you bearing [it],4 For yf he that commeth vnto you, preach another Iesus, whom we haue not preached, or yf ye receaue another sprete, yt ye haue not receaued, or another Gospell which ye haue not accepted, ye might right well haue bene cotent.4 if he that is come to you, preaches another Jesus whom I have not preached, or if ye receive other gifts of the spirit, than what ye have received from me, or another gospel, than what you have accepted, you might well bear with his pretensions: 4-6 It seems that if someone shows up preaching quite another Jesus than we preached—different spirit, different message—you put up with him quite nicely. But if you put up with these big-shot "apostles," why can't you put up with simple me? I'm as good as they are. It's true that I don't have their voice, haven't mastered that smooth eloquence that impresses you so much. But when I do open my mouth, I at least know what I'm talking about. We haven't kept anything back. We let you in on everything.4 There are wannabe cowboys showing up preaching a different Jesus than we did. Instead of running them off, y'all invite them in, listen, and pat them on the back. Can you not see the truth or can you not tell the difference between a drugstore cowboy and a real hand preaching the truth?
5 Now I consider myself in no way inferior to those “super-apostles.”(C1)
5 For, I suppose, I was not a whit behinde the very chiefest Apostles.
5 For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles. 5 Indeed, I consider that (j)I am not in the least inferior to these super-apostles.5 For I consider myself (C1)not in the least inferior to the (F1)most eminent apostles.
5 I do not think that those "great apostles" are any better than I am. 5 Yet I consider myself (C1)in no way inferior to the so-called (F1)super-apostles.5 For I consider myself (C1)not in the least inferior to the (F1)most eminent apostles.5 For I consider myself (C1)in no way inferior to the (F1)most-eminent apostles.
5 I consider myself in no way inferior to those “super-apostles.” 5 I think I am as good as any of those super apostles. 5 For I don't consider myself in any way inferior to these "super-emissaries."
5 For I reckon that in nothing I am behind those who are in surpassing degree apostles.
5 I don't think that those "super apostles" are any better than I am.
5 Verely I suppose that I was not inferior to the very chiefe Apostles.
5 For I think that I am not in the least inferior to the most distinguished apostles.
5 I do not think that I am the least bit inferior to those very special so-called "apostles" of yours! 5 For I consider myself in no way to be inferior to the preeminent apostles.[b]
5 For I judge myself to have come behind the highest apostles in nothing. 5 For I reckon that I am not a whit behind [e]the very chiefest apostles.
5 For in my opinion, I am in no way less than the most important of the Apostles.
5 For I reckon that I am not at all behind the very best apostles.
5 I do not think I'm inferior in any way to those "super-apostles."[xr]
5 For I consider that I am nothing inferior to those apostles who are most excellent.
5 For, I suppose, I came not short of those legates who most excel.
5 Ueryly I suppose that I was not behynde the chiefe Apostles.
5 For I reckon that I am not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.
5 For I reckon that I am not at all behind the very best apostles.
5 But I suppose that I fall nothing short of the very chief apostles.
5 Why, I reckon myself in no respect inferior to those superlatively great Apostles.
5 For Y wene that Y haue don no thing lesse than the grete apostlis.
5 For I reckon that I am not a bit behind the very chiefest apostles.
5 For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very greatest apostles. 5 For I consider myself not at all inferior to those "super-apostles."
5 For I consider that I am not at all inferior to the most eminent apostles.
5 But I don't consider myself inferior in any way to these "super apostles" who teach such things.
5 I do not think I am less than those special missionaries who are coming to you. 5 I think that I am not in the least inferior to these super-apostles.
5 For I reckon not to have come a whit behind the exceeding overmuch apostles;
5 For I suppose that I have done nothing less than the great apostles.
5 I think that I am not in the least inferior to these superlative apostles.
5 I suppose that I was not behynde ye chefe apostles.
5 for I reckon that I have been nothing behind the very chiefest apostles,
5 for I reckon that I have been nothing behind the very chiefest apostles,
5 For I suppose that I am no lesse the the hye Apostles are.
5 for I think I am not at all inferior to the chiefest of the apostles.
5 But I don't think I'm any less of a cowboy than those other "top hands."
6 But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things. 6 (k)Even if I am unskilled in speaking, (l)I am not so in knowledge; indeed, in every way (m)we have made this plain to you in all things.6 But even if I am (C1)unskilled in speech, yet I am not so in (C2)knowledge; in fact, in every way we have (C3)made this evident to you in all things.
6 I may not be a trained speaker, but I do have knowledge. We have shown this to you clearly in every way.6 But even if I am (C1)unskilled in speaking, yet I am not untrained in (F1)(C2)knowledge I know what I am talking about; but we have (C3)made this evident to you in every way, in all things.6 But even if I am (C1)unskilled in speech, yet I am not so in (C2)knowledge; in fact, in every way we have (C3)made this evident to you in all things.6 But even if I am (C1)unskilled in word, yet I am not so in (C2)knowledge; in fact, in every way we have (C3)made this evident to you in all things.6 Although I am not a polished speaker, I am certainly not lacking in knowledge. We have made this clear to you in every way possible. 6 I may not speak as well as they do, but I know as much. And this has already been made perfectly clear to you. 6 I may not be a skilled speaker, but I do have the knowledge; anyhow, we have made this clear to you in every way and in every circumstance.6 But if [I am] a simple person in speech, yet not in knowledge, but in everything making [the truth] manifest in all things to you.
