Jehu Rebukes Jehoshaphat

1 Then Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned in safety to his house in Jerusalem.2 Then Jehu(C1) son of the seer Hanani went out to confront him(F1) and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Do you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord?(C2) Because of this, the Lord’s wrath is on you.(C3) 2 Yehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Yehoshafat, Should you help the wicked, and love those who hate the LORD? for this thing wrath is on you from before the LORD.

2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the Lord? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the Lord. 2 But (a)Jehu the son of (b)Hanani (c)the seer went out to meet him and said to King Jehoshaphat, "Should you (d)help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, (e)wrath has gone out against you from the Lord. 2 Jehu son of Hanani, a seer, went out to meet him and said to the king, "Why did you help evil people? Why do you love those who hate the Lord? That is the reason the Lord is angry with you. 2 the prophet Jehu son of Hanani confronted him; he said to King Jehoshaphat, "Is it right to help the wicked and be an ally of those who oppose the Lord? Because of this, the wrath of the LORD is upon you. 2 But the prophet Jehu son of Hanani met him and said:

By helping that wicked Ahab, you have made friends with someone who hates the Lord. Now the Lord God is angry at you! 2 Yehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him and said to King Y'hoshafat, "Should you help the wicked and befriend those who hate Adonai? Because of this, Adonai's anger is upon you.

Therefore is wrath upon thee from Jehovah. 2 The prophet Jehu, son of Hanani, went out to meet the king. Jehu said to him, "Why did you help those who are wicked? Why do you love those who hate the Lord? That's the reason the Lord is angry with you now.2 And Jehu the son of Hanan the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, Should you go to help the ungodly, and love those who hate the LORD? Therefore the LORD is angry with you. 2 A prophet, Jehu son of Hanani, went to meet the king and said to him, "Do you think it is right to help those who are wicked and to take the side of those who hate the Lord? And he said to King Jehoshaphat, "Should you be a help to the wicked and love those who hate Yahweh? On account of this, wrath has come against you from Yahweh. 2 And Jehu the son of Hanani, the seer, went out before him and said to King Jehoshaphat, Do you love to help the bad one, and those who hate Jehovah, and by this bring wrath on you from the face of Jehovah?2 And Iehu ye sonne of Hanani the Seer wete forth to mete him, & sayde vnto kynge Iosaphat: Shuldest thou so helpe the vngodly, and loue them that hate the LORDE? Therfore is wrath come downe vpon thee from before the Lorde:2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat: 'Shouldest thou help the wicked, and love them that hate the LORD? for this thing wrath is upon thee from before the LORD.2 And Iehu the sonne of Hanani the seer, went out to meete him, and sayd to king Iehoshaphat, Shouldest thou helpe the vngodly, and loue them that hate the Lord ? Therefore is wrath vpon thee from before the Lord. 2 And there went out to meet him Jeu the prophet the son of Anani, and said to him, King Josaphat, doest thou help a sinner, or act friendly towards one hated of the Lord? Therefore has wrath come upon thee from the Lord. 2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the wicked, and love them that hate the LORD? for this thing wrath is upon thee from before the LORD. 2 Whom the profete Hieu, the sone of Ananye, mette, and seide to hym, Thou yyuest help to a wickid man, and thou art ioyned bi frendschip to hem that haten the Lord; and therfor sotheli thou deseruedist the wraththe of the Lord;2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Should you help the wicked, and love those that hate Yahweh? for this thing wrath is on you from before Yahweh.2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldst thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore [is] wrath upon thee from before the LORD.2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, "Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD? For this cause, therefore, is there wrath against thee, from before Yahweh;2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer met him, and said to him: Thou helpest the ungodly, and thou art joined in friendship with them that hate the Lord, and therefore thou didst deserve indeed the wrath of the Lord:2 But Jehu the son of Hana'ni the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehosh'aphat, "Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD? Because of this, wrath has gone out against you from the LORD.2 and go out unto his presence doth Jehu son of Hanani, the seer, and saith unto king Jehoshaphat, `To give help to the wicked, and to those hating Jehovah, dost thou love? and for this against thee [is] wrath from before Jehovah,2 and Jehu son of Hanani the seer goes out to his presence and says to King Jehoshaphat, "Do you love to give help to the wicked and to those hating YHWH? And for this, wrath [is] against you from before YHWH,2 (C1)Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him and said to King Jehoshaphat, "(C2)Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD and (F1)(C3)so bring wrath on yourself from the LORD?3 However, some good is found in you, for you have eradicated the Asherah poles from the land and have decided to seek God.”(C1)

3 Nevertheless there are good things found in you, in that you have put away the Asherot out of the land, and have set your heart to seek God.

3 Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast taken away the groves out of the land, and hast prepared thine heart to seek God. 3 Nevertheless, (f)some good is found in you, for (g)you destroyed the Asheroth out of the land, and have (h)set your heart to seek God." 3 But there is some good in you. You took the Asherah idols out of this country, and you have tried to obey God." 3 Nevertheless you have done some good things; you removed the Asherah poles from the land and you were determined to follow the Lord."3 "But (C1)there are some good things found in you, for (C2)you have removed the Asherim (idols) from the land and you have (C3)set your heart to seek God with all your soul's desire."

3 "But (F1)(C1)there is some good in you, for (C2)you have removed the (F2)Asheroth from the land and you (C3)have set your heart to seek God."

3 Nevertheless there are good things found in you, in that you have put away the Asheroth out of the land, and have set your heart to seek God. 3 Neuertheles good things are found in thee, because thou hast taken away ye groues out of the land, and hast prepared thine heart to seeke God.3 "But (C1)some good has been found in you, for (C2)you have purged the (F1)Asheroth from the land and you (C3)have set your heart to seek God."

3 However, some good is found in you, for you have removed the Asherah poles from the land and have set your heart on seeking God.” 3 But not everything about you is bad. You destroyed the sacred poles[a] used in worshiping the goddess Asherah—that shows you have tried to obey the Lord. 3 Still, there is some good in you, in that you have removed the sacred poles from the land and have set your heart on seeking God."

3 Nevertheless there are good things found in thee; for thou hast put away the Asherahs out of the land, and hast directed thy heart to seek God. 3 Fortunately, you did some good things in your life. You did remove the Asherah poles from this country, and you did decide to ask God for his advice."3 But I believe good reports have been heard about you, in that you have not shed innocent blood in the land and have prepared your heart to pray before the LORD in truth. 3 But even so, there is some good in you. You have removed all the symbols of the goddess Asherah which people worshiped, and you have tried to follow God's will." 3 Nevertheless some good things have been found in regard to you, for you burned the Asherahs out of the land and set your heart to seek God."3 But good things have been found with you, for you have burned the Asherahs out of the land, and have fixed your heart to seek God.3 neuertheles there is some good founde in the, that thou hast put the groues out of the londe, and hast prepared thine hert to seke God. 3 Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast put away the Asheroth out of the land, and hast set thy heart to seek God.3 But still there is some good in you, for you have put away the wood pillars out of the land, and have given your heart to the worship of God.3 Neuerthelesse, there are some good actes founde in thee, in that thou hast hewen downe the groues out of the lande, and hast prepared thyne heart to seke God.3 Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast put away the Asheroth out of the land, and hast set thy heart to seek God.'3 Neuerthelesse, there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast taken away the groues out of the land, and hast prepared thine heart to seeke God. 3 Nevertheless some good things have been found in thee, forasmuch as thou didst remove the groves from the land of Juda, and didst direct thine heart to seek after the Lord. 3 Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast put away the Asheroth out of the land, and hast set thine heart to seek God. 3 but good werkis ben foundyn in thee, for thou didist awey wodis fro the lond of Juda, and thou hast maad redi thin herte, for to seke the Lord God of thi fadris.3 Nevertheless there are good things found in you, in that you have put away the Asheroth out of the land, and have set your heart to seek God.3 Nevertheless, there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast taken away the groves out of the land, and hast prepared thy heart to seek God.3 Nevertheless good things are found in you, in that you have removed the wooden images from the land, and have prepared your heart to seek God." 3 Even so, there is some good in you, for you have removed the Asherah poles throughout the land, and you have committed yourself to seeking God." 3 But there is some good in you. For you have destroyed from the land the false goddess Asherah. And you have set your heart to follow God." 3 Nevertheless, some good is found in you, for you destroyed the sacred poles[a] out of the land, and have set your heart to seek God."3 howbeit, good things, are found with thee,-for that thou hast consumed the Sacred Stems out of the land, and hast fixed thy heart to seek God.3 But good works are found in thee, because thou hast taken away the groves out of the land of Juda, and hast prepared thy heart to seek the Lord the God of thy fathers.3 Nevertheless some good is found in you, for you destroyed the Ashe'rahs out of the land, and have set your heart to seek God."3 but good things have been found with thee, for thou hast put away the shrines out of the land, and hast prepared thy heart to seek God.'3 but good things have been found with you, for you have put away the Asheroth out of the land, and have prepared your heart to seek God."3 "But (F1)(C1)there is some good in you, for (C2)you have removed the (F2)Asheroth from the land and you (C3)have set your heart to seek God."
