1 And, when, the queen of Sheba, heard the report of Solomon, as pertaining to the Name of Yahweh, she came to prove him, with abstruse questions.

1 And the queen of Saba having heard of the fame of Solomon in the name of the Lord, came to try him with hard questions.

1 Now when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to test him with hard questions.

1 And the queen of Sheba is hearing of the fame of Solomon concerning the Name of YHWH, and comes to try him with enigmas,1-5 The queen of Sheba heard about Solomon and his connection with the Name of God. She came to put his reputation to the test by asking tough questions. She made a grand and showy entrance into Jerusalem—camels loaded with spices, a huge amount of gold, and precious gems. She came to Solomon and talked about all the things that she cared about, emptying her heart to him. Solomon answered everything she put to him—nothing stumped him. When the queen of Sheba experienced for herself Solomon's wisdom and saw with her own eyes the palace he had built, the meals that were served, the impressive array of court officials and sharply dressed waiters, the lavish crystal, and the elaborate worship extravagant with Whole-Burnt-Offerings at the steps leading up to The Temple of God, it took her breath away.

1 (C1)Now when the (C1)queen of (C2)Sheba heard about the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came (C3)to test him with difficult questions.2 She came to Jerusalem with a very large entourage, with camels bearing(C1) spices, gold in great abundance, and precious stones.(C2) She came to Solomon and spoke to him about everything that was on her mind. 2 She came to Yerushalayim with a very great train, with camels that bore spices, and very much gold, and precious stones; and when she was come to Shlomo, she talked with him of all that was in her heart.

2 And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart. 2 She came to Jerusalem with a very great retinue, with camels (e)bearing spices and very much gold and precious stones. And when she came to Solomon, she told him all that was on her mind. 2 She traveled to Jerusalem with a large group of servants and camels carrying spices, jewels, and much gold. When she came to Solomon, she talked with him about all she had in mind, 2 She arrived in Jerusalem with a great display of pomp, bringing with her camels carrying spices, a very large quantity of gold, and precious gems. She visited Solomon and discussed with him everything that was on her mind. 2 So she came to Jerusalem with a very large caravan (entourage), with camels (C1)carrying spices, a great quantity of gold, and precious stones. When she came to Solomon, she spoke with him about everything that was on her mind to discover the extent of his wisdom.2 So she came to Jerusalem with a very large entourage, with camels (C1)carrying balsam oil and a very large quantity of gold and precious stones. When she came to Solomon, she spoke to him about everything that was in her heart.2 And she came to Ierusalem with a verie great traine, and camels that bare sweete odours, and golde exceeding much, and precious stones: and shee came to Salomon, & communed with him of all that was in her heart.2 She came to Jerusalem with a very glorious retinue, with camels (C1)carrying spices and very much gold and precious stones. And she came to Solomon and spoke to him about all that was in her heart. 2 She took along several of her officials, and she loaded her camels with gifts of spices, jewels, and gold. When she arrived, she and Solomon talked about everything she could think of. 2 She arrived in Yerushalayim accompanied by a very great retinue, including camels bearing spices and gold in great abundance, and precious stones. When she appeared before Shlomo she spoke with him about everything on her heart,

2 And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bore spices and gold in very great abundance, and precious stones; and she came to Solomon, and spoke to him of all that was in her heart. 2 She traveled to Jerusalem with a very large group of servants. There were many camels carrying spices, jewels, and a lot of gold. She met Solomon and asked him all the questions that she could think of.2 And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels bearing spices and very much gold and precious stones; and when she was come to Solomon, she tested him with all that was in her heart. 2 She brought with her a large group of attendants, as well as camels loaded with spices, jewels, and a large amount of gold. When she came to Solomon, she told him all that was on her mind. 2 She came to Jerusalem with a very great retinue, with camels bearing spices, and very much gold, and precious stones; and when she came to Solomon, she told him all that was on her mind. 2 Yea she came to Jerusalem with a very heavily-laden train, of camels bearing spices, and gold in great abundance, and precious stones, - and, when she was come to Solomon, she spake unto him all that was near her heart; 2 And entering into Jerusalem with a great train, and riches, and camels that carried spices, and an immense quantity of gold, and precious stones, she came to king Solomon, and spoke to him all that she had in her heart.2 She came to Jerusalem with a very great retinue, with camels bearing spices, and very much gold, and precious stones; and when she came to Solomon, she told him all that was on her mind.2 and she comes to Jerusalem, with a very great company, camels carrying spices, and very much gold, and precious stone, and she comes to Solomon, and speaks to him all that has been with her heart.2 So she came to Jerusalem with a very large retinue, with camels (C1)carrying spices and very much gold and precious stones. When she came to Solomon, she spoke with him about all that was in her heart.3 So Solomon answered all her questions; nothing was too difficult for the king to explain to her. 3 Shlomo told her all her questions: there was not anything hidden from the king which he didn't tell her.

3 And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not any thing hid from the king, which he told her not. 3 And Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing hidden from the king that he could not explain to her. 3 and Solomon answered all her questions. Nothing was too hard for him to explain to her. 3 Solomon answered all her questions; there was no question too complex for the king. 3 Solomon (F1)answered all her questions; there was nothing hidden from the king which he did not explain to her.3 And Solomon (F1)answered all her questions; nothing was concealed from the king which he did not explain to her.3 And Salomon declared vnto her all her questions: nothing was hid from the King, which he expounded not vnto her.3 And Solomon declared to her the answer to all her matters; there was not a matter which was hidden from the king which he did not declare to her. 3 He answered every question, no matter how difficult it was. 3 and Shlomo answered all her questions; nothing was hidden from the king that he could not explain to her.

3 And Solomon explained to her all she spoke of: there was not a thing hidden from the king that he did not explain to her. 3 Solomon answered all the questions. None of her questions was too hard for him to explain.3 And Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing hidden from the king which he did not tell her. 3 He answered them all; there was nothing too difficult for him to explain. 3 Solomon answered all of her questions;[a] there was not a thing hidden from the king which he could not explain to her. 3 And Solomon told her all her matters; there was not one thing hidden from the king that he did not declare to her.3 And Salomon tolde her euerythinge, and the kynge had nothinge in secrete, but he tolde it her. 3 And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not anything hid from the king which he told her not. 3 And Solomon gave her answers to all her questions; there was no secret which the king did not make clear to her.3 And Solomon declared vnto her all her questions, so that there was not one thing hyd from the king whiche he expounded not vnto her.3 And Solomon told her all her questions; there was not any thing hid from the king which he told her not.3 And Solomon tolde her all her questions: there was not any thing hid from the king, which hee told her not. 3 And Solomon answered all her questions: and there was not a question overlooked by the king which he did not answer her. 3 And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not any thing hid from the king which he told her not. 3 And Solomon answered all her questions; nothing was too difficult for the king to explain.3 And Salomon tauyte hir alle wordis whiche sche hadde put forth; no word was, that myyte be hid fro the kyng, and which he answeryde not to hir.3 And Solomon declareth to her all her matters -- there hath not been a thing hid from the king that he hath not declared to her.3 And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not anything hid from the king which he did not tell her.3 And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not [any] thing hid from the king, which he told her not.3 Solomon told her all her questions: there was not anything hidden from the king which he didn't tell her. 3 So Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing so difficult for the king that he could not explain it to her. 3 Solomon had answers for all her questions; nothing was too hard for the king to explain to her. 3 And Solomon answered all her questions. There was nothing hidden from the king which he could not make plain to her. 3 Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing hidden from the king that he could not explain to her. 3 and Solomon answered her all her questions, - there was nothing hidden from the king, which he told her not.3 And Solomon informed her of all the things she proposed to him: there was not any word the king was ignorant of, and which he could not answer her.3 And Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing hidden from the king which he could not explain to her.3 And Solomon declares to her all her matters—there has not been a thing hid from the king that he has not declared to her.3 Solomon (F1)answered all her questions; nothing was hidden from the king which he did not (F2)explain to her.4 When the queen of Sheba observed all of Solomon’s wisdom, the palace he had built,(C1) 4 When the queen of Sheva had seen all the wisdom of Shlomo, and the house that he had built,

4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built, 4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built, 4 The queen of Sheba learned that Solomon was very wise. She saw the palace he had built, 4 When the queen of Sheba saw for herself Solomon's extensive wisdom, the palace he had built, 4 When the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house (palace) which he had built,4 When the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,4 Then the Queene of Sheba sawe all Salomons wisedome, and the house that he had built,4 Then the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,4-5 The Queen was amazed at Solomon's wisdom. She was breathless when she saw his palace, the food on his table, his officials, his servants in their uniforms, the people who served his food, and the sacrifices he offered at the Lord's temple. 4 After the queen of Sh'va had seen all Shlomo's wisdom, the palace he had built,

4 And when the queen of Sheba saw all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built, 4 The queen of Sheba saw that Solomon was very wise. She also saw the beautiful palace he had built.4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomons wisdom and the house that he had built 4 The queen of Sheba heard Solomon's wisdom and saw the palace he had built. 4 When the queen of Sheba observed all the wisdom of Solomon and the house which he had built, 4 And the queen of Sheba saw the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he built,4 But whan the Quene of riche Arabia sawe all the wy?dome of Salomon, and the house that he had buylded, 4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built, 4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house which he had made,4 And the queene of Saba considered al Solomons wysdome, & the house that he had buylded,4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,4 And when the Queene of Sheba had seene all Solomons wisedome, and the house that he had built, 4 And the queen of Saba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house which he built, 4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built, 4 When the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, the palace he had built,4 Forsothe the queen of Saba siy al the wisdom of Salomon, and the hows which he hadde bildid,4 And the queen of Sheba seeth all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he built,4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built,4 When the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built, 4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built, 4 When the queen of Sheba realized how very wise Solomon was, and when she saw the palace he had built, 4 The queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, the house he had built, 4 When the queen of Sheba had observed all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built, 4 And, when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, - and the house which he had built;4 And when the queen of Saba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house which he had built,4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,4 And the queen of Sheba sees all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he built,4 When the queen of Sheba perceived all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,5 the food at his table,(C1) his servants’ residence, his attendants’ service and their attire, his cupbearers, and the burnt offerings he offered at the Lord’s temple, it took her breath away.

5 and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their clothing, and his cup bearers, and his ascent by which he went up to the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.

5 And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the Lord; there was no more spirit in her. 5 the food of his table, the seating of his officials, and the attendance of his servants, their clothing, his cupbearers, and his burnt offerings that he offered at the house of the Lord, there was no more breath in her. 5 the food on his table, his many officers, the palace servants, and their good clothes. She saw the servants who served him at feasts and the whole burnt offerings he made in the Temple of the Lord. All these things amazed her. 5 the food in his banquet hall, his servants and attendants, their robes, his cupbearers, and his burnt offerings which he presented in the Lord's temple, she was amazed. 5 the food on his table, the seating of his servants (court officials), the attendance of his waiters and their attire, his cupbearers, his (F1)stairway by which he went up to the house (temple) of the LORD, she was breathless and awed by the wonder of it all.5 and the food of his table, the seating of his servants, the service of his waiters and their attire, his cupbearers, and his burnt offerings which he offered at the house of the LORD, (F1)she was breathless.5 And the meate of his table, and the sitting of his seruants, and the order of his ministers, and their apparel, and his drinking vessels, and his burnt offrings, that he offered in the house of the Lord, and she was greatly astonied.5 the food of his table, the seating of his servants, the disposition of his attendants and their attire, his cupbearers, and (F1)his stairway by which he went up to the house of Yahweh, so that there was no more spirit in her. 5 the food at his table, the manner of seating his officials, the manner in which his staff served him, how they were dressed, his personal servants and his burnt offering which he offered in the house of Adonai, it left her breathless.

5 and the food of his table, and the deportment of his servants, and the order of service of his attendants, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up to the house of Jehovah, there was no more spirit in her. 5 She saw the food at the king's table. She saw his officials meeting together. She saw the servants in the palace and the good clothes they wore. She saw his parties and the sacrifices that he offered in the Lord's Temple. She was so amazed, she could hardly breathe!5 And the food of his table and the order in which his servants sat and the attendance of his ministers and their apparel, and his cupbearers and their clothing and his burnt offerings which he offered in the house of the LORD, she was greatly overcome. 5 She saw the food that was served at his table, the living quarters for his officials, the organization of his palace staff and the uniforms they wore, the servants who waited on him at feasts, and the sacrifices he offered in the Temple. It left her breathless and amazed. 5 the food of his table, the seat of his servants, the manner[b] of his servants and their clothing, his cupbearers, and his burnt offerings which he offered in the house of Yahweh, she was breathless.[c] 5 and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the standing of his ministers, and their clothing, and his cupbearers and his burnt offering that he offered in the house of Jehovah; and there was no more breath in her.5 and the meates of his table, and the dwellinges of his seruauntes, & the offyces of his ministers, and their garmentes, and his butlers and the burntofferynges which he offred in the house of the LORDE, she wondred exceadingly, and coulde no longer refrayne, 5 and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the [a]attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and [b]his ascent by which he went up unto the house of Jehovah; there was no more spirit in her. 5 And the food at his table, and all his servants seated there, and those who were waiting on him in their places, and their robes, and his wine-servants, and the burned offerings which he made in the house of the Lord, there was no more spirit in her.5 And the meate of his table, and the sitting of his seruauntes, the order of his ministers & their apparell, & his drinke, and his burnt sacrifices that he offred in the house of the Lorde: and she was astonied.5 and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his burnt-offering which he offered in the house of the LORD, there was no more spirit in her.5 And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his seruants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparell, and his cup bearers, and his ascent by which hee went vp vnto the house of the Lord: there was no more spirit in her. 5 and the provision of Solomon and the sitting of his attendants, and the standing of his servants, and his raiment, and his cup-bearers, and his whole-burnt-offering which he offered in the house of the Lord, and she was utterly amazed. 5 and the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her. 5 the food at his table, the seating of his servants, the service and attire of his attendants and cupbearers, and the burnt offerings he presented at the house of the LORD, it took her breath away.5 and the metis of his table, and the dwellyng places of hise seruauntis, and the ordris of mynystris, and the clothis of hem, and the boteleris, and the brent sacrifices whiche he offride in the hows of the Lord; and sche hadde no more spirite.5 and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the standing of his ministers, and their clothing, and his butlers, and his burnt-offering that he causeth to ascend in the house of Jehovah, and there hath not been in her any more spirit.5 and the food of his table, and the sitting of his slaves, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up to the house of Yahweh; there was no more spirit in her.5 And the provisions of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cup-bearers, and his ascent by which he went up to the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.5 and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their clothing, and his cup bearers, and his ascent by which he went up to the house of Yahweh; there was no more spirit in her. 5 the food on his table, the seating of his servants, the service of his waiters and their apparel, his cupbearers, and his entryway by which he went up to the house of the LORD, there was no more spirit in her. 5 she was overwhelmed. She was also amazed at the food on his tables, the organization of his officials and their splendid clothing, the cup-bearers, and the burnt offerings Solomon made at the Temple of the Lord. 5 the food on his table, and his many servants seated to eat. She saw those who brought the food and how they were dressed, and those who carried his cups. She saw the steps by which he went up to the house of the Lord. And there was no more spirit in her. 5 the food of his table, the seating of his officials, and the attendance of his servants, their clothing, his valets, and his burnt offerings that he offered at the house of the Lord, there was no more spirit in her.5 and the food of his table, and the seated assembly of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers with their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he ascended unto the house of Yahweh, there was in her no more spirit.5 And the meat of his table, and the apartments of his servants, and the order of his ministers, and their apparel, and the cupbearers, and the holocausts, which he offered in the house of the Lord, she had no longer any spirit in her;5 the food of his table, the seating of his officials, and the attendance of his servants, their clothing, his cupbearers, and his burnt offerings which he offered at the house of the LORD, there was no more spirit in her.5 and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the standing of his ministers, and their clothing, and his butlers, and his burnt-offering that he causes to ascend in the house of YHWH, and there has not been anymore spirit in her.5 the food of his table, the seating of his servants, the attendance of his waiters and their attire, his cupbearers, and (F1)his stairway by which he went up to the house of the LORD, there was no more spirit in her.

6 She said to the king, “The report I heard in my own country about your words and about your wisdom is true. 6 She said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in my own land of your acts, and of your wisdom.

6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.

6 And she said to the king, "The report was true that I heard in my own land of your words and of your wisdom,

6 So she said to King Solomon, "What I heard in my own country about your achievements and wisdom is true. 6 She said to the king, "The report I heard in my own country about your wise sayings and insight was true! 6 Then she told the king, "The report which I heard in my own land about your words and wisdom is true!6 Then she said to the king, "It was a true (F1)story that I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom.6 And shee sayde vnto the King, It was a true worde that I heard in mine owne lande of thy sayings, and of thy wisedome.6 Then she said to the king, "The word is true which I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom. 6 She said:

Solomon, in my own country I had heard about your wisdom and all you've done. 6 She said to the king, "What I heard in my own country about your deeds and your wisdom is true,

6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thine affairs, and of thy wisdom;

6 Then she said to King Solomon, "The stories I heard in my country about your great works and your wisdom are true.6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in my own land of your sayings and of your wisdom. 6 She said to King Solomon, "What I heard in my own country about you[b] and your wisdom is true! 6 Then she said to the king, "The report which I heard in my land was true concerning your accomplishments and your wisdom. 6 And she said to the king, The word that I heard in my land was true as to your matters and your wisdom.6 but sayde vnto the kynge: It is true that I haue herde in my londe of thy behauoure and of thy wy?dome. 6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thine [c]acts, and of thy wisdom. 6 And she said to the king, The account which was given to me in my country of your acts and your wisdom was true.6 And she sayde vnto the king: It was a true word that I hearde in myne owne land of thy sayinges, & of thy wisdome.6 And she said to the king: 'It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom.6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine owne land, of thy actes and of thy wisedome. 6 And she said to king Solomon, It was a true report which I heard in my land of thy words and thy wisdom. 6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom. 6 She said to the king, “The report I heard in my own country about your words and wisdom is true.6 And sche seide to the kyng, The word is trewe, which Y herde in my lond, of thi wordis, and of thi wisdom;6 And she saith unto the king, `True hath been the word that I heard in my land, concerning thy matters and thy wisdom;6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in my own land of your acts, and of your wisdom.6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in my own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.6 She said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in my own land of your acts, and of your wisdom. 6 Then she said to the king: "It was a true report which I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom.

6 She exclaimed to the king, "Everything I heard in my country about your achievements[b] and wisdom is true! 6 She said to the king, "The news was true that I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom.

6 So she said to the king, "The report was true that I heard in my own land of your accomplishments and of your wisdom, 6 And she said unto the king, True, was the word which I heard in mine own land, - concerning thine affairs, and concerning thy wisdom.6 And she said to the king: The report is true, which I heard in my own country,6 And she said to the king, "The report was true which I heard in my own land of your affairs and of your wisdom,6 And she says to the king, "The word that I heard in my land has been true concerning your matters and your wisdom;6-9 She said to the king, "It's all true! Your reputation for accomplishment and wisdom that reached all the way to my country is confirmed. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself; they didn't exaggerate! Such wisdom and elegance—far more than I could ever have imagined. Lucky the men and women who work for you, getting to be around you every day and hear your wise words firsthand! And blessed be God, your God, who took such a liking to you and made you king. Clearly, God's love for Israel is behind this, making you king to keep a just order and nurture a God-pleasing people."6 Then she said to the king, "It was a true report which I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom.7 But I didn’t believe the reports until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, I was not even told half. Your wisdom and prosperity far exceed the report I heard.(C1) 7 However I didn't believe the words, until I came, and my eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me; your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame which I heard.

7 Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.
