Every Sunday each of you make an offering and put it in safekeeping. Be as generous as you can. When I get there you'll have it ready, and I won't have to make a special appeal. Then after I arrive, I'll write letters authorizing whomever you delegate, and send them off to Jerusalem to deliver your gift. If you think it best that I go along, I'll be glad to travel with them.
1 Now, let's talk straight about taking up a collection for God's people in Jerusalem. I'm going to tell y'all the same as I told the church in Galatia. 2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. 2 On (b)the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, (c)as he may prosper, (d)so that there will be no collecting when I come.2 On (C1)the first day of every week, each of you is to (F1)put aside and save as he may prosper, so that (C2)no collections need to be made when I come. 2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should put aside money as you have been blessed. Save it up so you will not have to collect money after I come. 2 On (C1)the first day of every week each one of you is to put something aside, in proportion to his prosperity, and save it so that (C2)no collections will need to be made when I come.2 On (C1)the first day of every week each one of you is to (F1)put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that (C2)no collections be made when I come.2 On (C1)the first day of every week each one of you is to (F1)set something aside, saving whatever he has prospered, so that (C2)no collections be made when I come.2 On the first day of every week, each of you should set aside a portion of his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will be needed. 2 That is, each Sunday each of you must put aside part of what you have earned. If you do this, you won't have to take up a collection when I come. 2 Every week, on Motza'ei-Shabbat, each of you should set some money aside, according to his resources, and save it up; so that when I come I won't have to do fundraising. 2 On [the] first of [the] week let each of you put by at home, laying up [in] whatever [degree] he may have prospered, that there may be no collections when I come. 2 On the first day of every week, each of you should take some of your money and put it in a special place. Save up as much as you can from what you are blessed with. Then you will not have to gather it all after I come.2 Euery first day of the weeke, let euery one of you put aside by himselfe, and lay vp as God hath prospered him, that then there be no gatherings when I come.2 Upon the first day of every week, let each of you put aside and keep in his house whatever he can afford, so that there may be no collections when I come. 2 Every Sunday each of you must put aside some money, in proportion to what you have earned, and save it up, so that there will be no need to collect money when I come. 2 On the first day of the week, each one of you put aside[a] something, saving up to whatever extent he has prospered[b], in order that whenever I come, at that time collections do not take place. 2 On one of the sabbaths, let each of you put by himself, storing up whatever he is prospered, that there not be collections then when I come. 2 Upon the first day of the week let each one of you lay by him in store, as he may prosper, that no collections be made when I come. 2 On the first day of the week, let every one of you put by him in store, in measure as he has done well in business, so that it may not be necessary to get money together when I come.2 On the first day of the week, let each one of you save, as he may prosper, that no collections be made when I come. 2 On the first day of the week, each of you should set aside and save some of your money in proportion to what you have, so that no collections will have to be made when I come.[xr] 2 2 On each first day of the week let every one of you at his own house lay by and keep something of that which cometh unto his hands, lest when I come there be then collections. [fn] 2 On each first day of the week, let every one of you lay aside and preserve at home, what he is able; that there may be no collections when I come.2 Upon some Sabboth daye, let euery one of you put asyde by hym selfe, and laye vp as God hath prospered hym, that then there be no gatherynges when I come.2 Upon the first day of the week let each one of you lay by him in store, as he may prosper, that no collections be made when I come. 2 On the first day of the week, let each one of you save, as he may prosper, that no collections be made when I come. 2 On the first day of the week, let every one of you lay by him in store according as he hath been prospered, that there may be no collections when I come.2 On the first day of every week let each of you put on one side and store up at his home whatever gain has been granted to him; so that whenever I come, there may then be no collections going on.2 Ech of you kepe at hym silf, kepynge that that plesith to him, that whanne Y come, the gaderyngis ben not maad.2 On the first day of the week let each one of you lay by him in store, as he may prosper, that no collections be made when I come.2 Upon the first [day] of the week, let every one of you lay by him in store, as [God] hath prospered him, that there be no collections when I come. 2 On the first day of the week, each of you should set aside some income and save it to the extent that God has blessed you, so that a collection will not have to be made when I come. 2 On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come. 2 On the first day of each week, you should each put aside a portion of the money you have earned. Don't wait until I get there and then try to collect it all at once. 2 On the first day of every week each of you should put aside some of your money. Give a certain part of what you have earned. Keep it there because I do not want money gathered when I come. 2 On the first day of every week, each of you is to put aside and save whatever extra you earn, so that collections need not be taken when I come. 2 Upon the first of the week, let, each one of you, put, by itself, in store, as he may be prospering, - lest, as soon as I come, then, collections, should be in progress.2 On the first day of the week, let every one of you put apart with himself, laying up what it shall well please him: that when I come, the collections be not then to be made.2 On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that contributions need not be made when I come.2 Vpon some sondaye let every one of you put a syde at home and laye vp what soever he thinketh mete that ther be no gaderinges when I come.2 on every first [day] of the week, let each one of you lay by him, treasuring up whatever he may have prospered, that when I may come then collections may not be made;2 on every first [day] of the week, let each one of you lay by him, treasuring up whatever he may have prospered, that when I may come then collections may not be made;2 Vpon some Sabbath daye let euery one of you put aside by him selfe, and laye vp what so euer he thinketh mete, that the colleccion be not to gather whan I come.2 every sabbath-day let every one of you set apart something of what he has happily gain'd, for the common treasury, that there may be no collection when I come. 2 On the first day of every week, put some money in a jar and keep it safe. Save up as much as you possibly can from what you've been blessed with. Then, when I come see you, everything will be ready and you won't have to scramble around and dig through you saddle bags for crumbs. 3 When I arrive, I will send with letters(C1) those you recommend to carry your gift to Jerusalem.(C2) 3 And when I come, whomsoeuer you shall approue by your letters, them wil I send to bring your liberality vnto Ierusalem. 3 And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem. 3 And when I arrive, I will send (e)those whom you accredit by letter to carry your gift to Jerusalem.3 When I arrive, (C1)whomever you approve, I will send them with letters to take your gift to Jerusalem; 3 When I arrive, I will send whomever you approve to take your gift to Jerusalem. I won't be staying long there, but maybe I can stay awhile with you—maybe even spend the winter? Then you could give me a good send-off, wherever I may be headed next. I don't want to just drop by in between other "primary" destinations. I want a good, long, leisurely visit. If the Master agrees, we'll have it! For the present, I'm staying right here in Ephesus. A huge door of opportunity for good work has opened up here. (There is also mushrooming opposition.)
5 I'm thinking about going through Macedonia and then on to y'all. 6 And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go. 6 and perhaps I will stay with you or even spend the winter, so that you may (i)help me on my journey, wherever I go.6 and perhaps I will stay with you or even spend the winter, so that you may (C1)send me on my way wherever I go. 6 Perhaps I will stay with you for a time or even all winter. Then you can help me on my trip, wherever I go. 6 but it may be that I will stay with you for a while, or even spend the winter, so that you may (C1)send me on my way to wherever I may go afterward.6 and perhaps I will stay with you, or even spend the winter, so that you may (C1)send me on my way wherever I may go.6 and perhaps I will stay with you, or even spend the winter, so that you may (C1)send me on my way wherever I may go.6 Perhaps I will stay with you awhile, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go. 6 and visit with you for a while. I may even stay all winter, so that you can help me on my way to wherever I will be going next. 6 and I may stay with you or even spend the winter, so that you may help me continue my travels wherever I may go. 6 But perhaps I will stay with you, or even winter with you, that *ye* may set me forward wheresoever I may go.A Collection to Aid Jewish Christians
