1 As concernynge spirituall giftes (brethren) I wolde not that ye were ignoraunt.

1 Now concerning those who are spiritual, my brethren, I would not have you be mistaken. 1-3 What I want to talk about now is the various ways God's Spirit gets worked into our lives. This is complex and often misunderstood, but I want you to be informed and knowledgeable. Remember how you were when you didn't know God, led from one phony god to another, never knowing what you were doing, just doing it because everybody else did it? It's different in this life. God wants us to use our intelligence, to seek to understand as well as we can. For instance, by using your heads, you know perfectly well that the Spirit of God would never prompt anyone to say "Jesus be damned!" Nor would anyone be inclined to say "Jesus is Master!" without the insight of the Holy Spirit.

Special Abilities

1 Alright, cowboys and cowgirls, let's talk about the special abilities God gives his hands who are riding for the brand. I don't want there to be any confusion about these great gifts from the Holy Ghost. 2 You know that when you were pagans, you used to be enticed and led astray by mute(C1) idols.(C2) 2 Yee know that yee were Gentiles, caryed away vnto these dumbe idoles, euen as ye were led.

2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. 2 You know that (b)when you were pagans (c)you were led astray to (d)mute idols, however you were led.2 (C1)You know that when you were (F1)pagans, you were (C2)led (F2)astray to the (C3)mute idols, however you were led. 2 You know the way you lived before you were believers. You let yourselves be influenced and led away to worship idols—things that could not speak. 2 (C1)You know that when you were pagans, you were (C2)led off after (C3)speechless idols; however you were led off whether by impulse or habit.2 (C1)You know that when you were pagans, you were (C2)led astray to the (C3)mute idols, however you were led.2 (C1)You know that when you were pagans, you were (C2)being led astray to the (C3)mute idols, however you were led.2 You know that when you were pagans, you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. 2 I want you to remember that before you became followers of the Lord, you were led in all the wrong ways by idols that cannot even talk. 2 You know that when you were pagans, no matter how you felt you were being led, you were being led astray to idols, which can't speak at all.

2 Ye know that when ye were [of the] nations [ye were] led away to dumb idols, in whatever way ye might be led. 2 You remember the lives you lived before you were believers. You let yourselves be influenced and led away to worship idols—things that have no life.2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, and were caried away vnto the dumme Idoles, as ye were led.2 That once you were pagans, and without exception you were carried away by dumb idols. 2 You know that while you were still heathen, you were led astray in many ways to the worship of lifeless idols. 2 You know that when you were pagans, you were led astray to the speechless idols, however you were led. 2 You know that being led away, you nations were led to voiceless idols. 2 Ye know that when ye were Gentiles ye were led away unto those dumb idols, howsoever ye might be led. 2 You are conscious that when you were Gentiles, in whatever way you were guided, you went after images without voice or power.2 You know that when you were heathen, you were led away to those mute idols, however you might be led. 2 You know that when you were Gentiles, you were enticed and led away to idols that couldn't even speak.[xr] 2 that you were Heathens, and unto idols which have no voice you were led without discernment .2 that ye have been pagans; and have been, without distinction, led away after idols, in which there is no speech.2 Ye knowe yt ye were gentiles, and caryed away vnto dumbe idols, as ye were led.2 Ye know that when ye were Gentiles [ye were] led away unto those dumb idols, howsoever ye might be led. 2 You know that when you were heathen, you were led away to those mute idols, however you might be led. 2 Ye know that when ye were heathens, ye were carried away after dumb idols, as ye were led.2 You know that when you were heathens you went astray after dumb idols, wherever you happened to be led.2 For ye witen, that whanne ye weren hethene men, hou ye weren led goynge to doumbe maumetis.2 You know that when you were Gentiles [you were] led away to those mute idols, however you might be led.2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, even as ye were led. 2 You know that when you were pagans you were often led astray by speechless idols, however you were led. 2 You know that [fn] you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led. 2 You know that when you were still pagans, you were led astray and swept along in worshiping speechless idols. 2 You know that before you were Christians you were led to worship false gods. None of these gods could speak. 2 You know that when you were pagans, you were enticed and led astray to idols that could not speak. 2 Ye know that, when ye were of the nations, unto the dumb idols, howsoever ye were being led, ye were seduced.2 You know that when you were heathens, you went to dumb idols, according as you were led.2 You know that when you were heathen, you were led astray to dumb idols, however you may have been moved.2 Ye knowe that ye were gentyls and went youre wayes vnto domme ydoles even as ye were ledde.2 ye have known that ye were nations, unto the dumb idols -- as ye were led -- being carried away;2 you have known that you were nations, being carried away as you were led to the mute idols;2 Ye knowe that ye were Heythe and wente youre wayes vnto dome Idols, eue as ye were led.2 when you were Gentiles, you know how you were seduced by your leaders, to the worship of dumb idols. 2 There was a time, before you were one of God's cowboys, that you followed your own desires and worshiped rocks and sticks and other people. 3 Therefore I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

3 Wherefore I giue you to vnderstand, that no man speaking by the spirit of God, calleth Iesus accursed: and that no man can say that Iesus is the Lord, but by the holy Ghost.

3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 3 Therefore I want you to understand that (e)no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says "Jesus is (f)accursed!" and (g)no one can say "Jesus is Lord" except in the Holy Spirit.3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking (F1)(C1)by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is (F2)(C2)accursed"; and no one can say, "Jesus is (C3)Lord," except (F1)(C1)by the Holy Spirit.

3 So I want you to understand that no one who is speaking with the help of God's Spirit says, "Jesus be cursed." And no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," without the help of the Holy Spirit.3 Therefore I want you to know that no one speaking (C1)by the power and influence of the Spirit of God can say, "Jesus be (C2)cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is my (C3)Lord," except (C1)by the power and influence of the Holy Spirit.

3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking (F1)(C1)by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is (F2)(C2)accursed"; and no one can say, "Jesus is (C3)Lord," except (F1)(C1)by the Holy Spirit.

3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking (F1)(C1)by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is (F2)(C2)accursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is (C3)Lord," except (F1)(C1)by the Holy Spirit.

3 Therefore I inform you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. 3 Now I want you to know that if you are led by God's Spirit, you will say that Jesus is Lord, and you will never curse Jesus. 3 Therefore, I want to make it clear to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God ever says, "Yeshua is cursed!" and no one can say, "Yeshua is Lord," except by the Ruach HaKodesh.

3 I give you therefore to know, that no one, speaking in [the power of the] Spirit of God, says, Curse [on] Jesus; and no one can say, Lord Jesus, unless in [the power of the] Holy Spirit. 3 So I tell you that no one who is speaking with the help of God's Spirit says, "Jesus be cursed." And no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," without the help of the Holy Spirit.3 Wherefore, I declare vnto you, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Iesus execrable: also no man can say that Iesus is the Lord, but by the holy Ghost.3 Wherefore I want you to understand that no man, speaking by the Spirit of God, calls Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the LORD but by the Holy Spirit. 3 I want you to know that no one who is led by God's Spirit can say "A curse on Jesus!" and no one can confess "Jesus is Lord," without being guided by the Holy Spirit. 3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed," and no one is able to say "Jesus is Lord" except by the Holy Spirit.3 Because of this I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, Jesus is a curse. And no one is able to say Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit. 3 Wherefore I make known unto you, that no man speaking in the Spirit of God saith, Jesus is anathema; and no man can say, Jesus is Lord, but in the Holy Spirit.3 So it is my desire for you to be clear about this; that no one is able to say by the Spirit of God that Jesus is cursed; and no one is able to say that Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.3 Therefore I make known to you that no man speaking by God's Spirit says, "Yeshua is accursed." No one can say, "Yeshua is Lord," but by the Ruach HaKodesh. 3 Therefore, I want you to know that no one who is speaking by God's Spirit can say, "Jesus is cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.[xr] 3 3 I therefore make known to you, that there is no man who by the Spirit of Aloha speaketh, and saith that Jeshu is accursed; [fn] and no man also can say that Jeshu is THE LORD unless by the Spirit of Holiness. 3 I therefore inform you, that there is no man, that speaketh by the Spirit of God, who saith that Jesus is accursed: neither can a man say that Jesus is the Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.3 Wherfore I declare vnto you, that no man speakyng by the spirite of God, defieth Iesus. Also no man can say that Iesus is ye Lord, but by the holy ghost.3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking in the Spirit of God saith, Jesus is anathema; and no man can say, Jesus is Lord, but in the Holy Spirit. 3 Therefore I make known to you that no man speaking by God's Spirit says, "Jesus is accursed." No one can say, "Jesus is Lord," but by the Holy Spirit. 3 Therefore I give you to know, that as no one speaking by the Spirit of God, calleth Jesus accursed; so no one can say, Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.3 For this reason I would have you understand that no one speaking under the influence of The Spirit of God ever says, "Jesus is accursed," and that no one is able to say, "Jesus is Lord," except under the influence of the Holy Spirit.3 Therfor Y make knowun to you, that no man spekynge in the spirit of God, seith departyng fro Jhesu; and no man may seie the Lord Jhesu, but in the Hooli Goost.3 Therefore I make known to you, that no man speaking in the Spirit of God says, Accursed Jesus; and no man can say, Lord Jesus, but in the Holy Spirit.3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God, calleth Jesus accursed: and [that] no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit. 3 So I want you to understand that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. 3 So I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse Jesus, and no one can say Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit. 3 So I tell you that no one speaking by the help of the Holy Spirit can say that he hates Jesus. No one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the help of the Holy Spirit. 3 Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking by the Spirit of God ever says "Let Jesus be cursed!" and no one can say "Jesus is Lord" except by the Holy Spirit.3 Wherefore, I give you to know - that, no one, in God's Spirit speaking, saith - Accursed Jesus! and, no one, can say - Lord Jesus! save in the Holy Spirit.3 Wherefore, I give you to understand that no man, speaking by the Spirit of God, saith Anathema to Jesus. And no man can say The Lord Jesus, but by the Holy Ghost.3 Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking by the Spirit of God ever says "Jesus be cursed!" and no one can say "Jesus is Lord" except by the Holy Spirit.3 Wherfore I declare vnto you that no man speakynge in the sprete of god defieth Iesus. Also no man can saye that Iesus is the lorde: but by the holy goost.3 wherefore, I give you to understand that no one, in the Spirit of God speaking, saith Jesus [is] anathema, and no one is able to say Jesus [is] Lord, except in the Holy Spirit.3 for this reason, I give you to understand that no one, speaking in the Spirit of God, says Jesus [is] accursed, and no one is able to say Jesus [is] LORD, except in the Holy Spirit.3 Wherfore I declare vnto you, that no man speakynge thorow the sprete of God, defyeth Iesus. And no man can saye that Iesus is the LORDE, but by the holy goost.3 wherefore I give you to understand, that no man who has the spirit of God, can pronounce Jesus anathema: and that no man can acknowledge Jesus to be the Lord, but by the holy spirit. 3 One of God's cowboys wouldn't curse Jesus. In the same manner, no cowboy would be inclined to say Jesus is Lord without the Holy Ghost's prompting.

God's various ministries are carried out everywhere; but they all originate in God's Spirit. God's various expressions of power are in action everywhere; but God himself is behind it all. Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people! The variety is wonderful:

wise counsel

clear understanding

simple trust

healing the sick

miraculous acts

proclamation

distinguishing between spirits

tongues

interpretation of tongues.

All these gifts have a common origin, but are handed out one by one by the one Spirit of God. He decides who gets what, and when.

4 There are different kinds of special abilities, but they all come from the same God. 5 There are different ministries, but the same Lord. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
