What if some of them were unfaithful? Their unfaithfulness cannot cancel God's faithfulness, can it?Numbers 23:19; Romans 9:6; 10:16; 11:29; 2 Timothy 2:13; Hebrews 4:2;">[xr]

By his grace they are justified freely through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,Matthew 20:28; Romans 4:16; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8; Colossians 1:14; 1 Timothy 2:6; Titus 3:5,7; Hebrews 9:12; 1 Peter 1:18-19;">[xr]

whom God offered as a place where atonement by Christ'shis">[fn] blood could occur through faith. He did thisHe did this">[fn] to demonstrate his righteousness, because he had waited patiently to deal with sins committed in the past.Leviticus 16:15; Acts 13:38-39; 17:30; Colossians 1:20; 1 Timothy 1:15; Hebrews 9:15; 1 John 2:2; 4:10;">[xr]

He did not weaken in faith when he thought about his own body (which was alreadyalready">[fn] as good as dead now that he was about a hundred years old) or about Sarah's inability to have children,Genesis 17:17; 18:11; Hebrews 11:11-12;">[xr]

being absolutely convinced that God would do what he had promised.Psalm 115:3; Luke 1:37,45; Hebrews 11:19;">[xr]

He was handed over to death because of our sins and was raised to life because of our justification.Isaiah 53:5-6; Romans 3:25; 5:6; 8:32; 1 Corinthians 15:17; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 1:4; Hebrews 9:28; 1 Peter 1:21; 2:24; 3:18;">[xr]

Consequently, just as one offense resulted in condemnation for everyone, so one act of righteousness results in justification and life for everyone.John 12:32; Hebrews 2:9;">[xr]

For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to deal with sin. He condemned sin in the fleshActs 13:39; Romans 3:20; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 3:13; Hebrews 7:18-19;">[xr]

For you have not received a spirit of slavery that leads you into fear again.
