And yet Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?"

for Herod was afraid of John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and he had been protecting him. And when he heard him, he was very perplexed; and yet he used to enjoy listening to him.

Now Jesus got up and went from there to the region of Tyre. And when He had entered a house, He wanted no one to know about it; and yet He could not escape notice.

And He said to them, "Elijah does come first and he restores all things. And yet how is it written of the Son of Man that He will suffer many things and be treated with contempt?

And they were seeking to seize Him, and yet they feared the people, for they understood that He told the parable against them. And so they left Him and went away.

"When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed; those things must take place; but that is not yet the end.

But Peter said to Him, "Even if they all fall away, yet I will not!"

And He was saying, "Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will."

And yet they had no child, because Elizabeth was infertile, and they were both advanced in years.

And yet his mother responded and said, "No indeed; but he shall be called John."

And yet they on their part did not understand the statement which He had made to them.

And all the people were speaking well of Him, and admiring the gracious words which were coming from His lips; and yet they were saying, "Is this not Joseph's son?"

and yet Elijah was sent to none of them, but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.

Demons also were coming out of many, shouting, "You are the Son of God!" And yet He was rebuking them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew that He was the Christ.

he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; and when there was a flood, the river burst against that house and yet it could not shake it, because it had been well built.

Now Jesus started on His way with them; but already, when He was not yet far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to Him, "Lord, do not trouble Yourself further, for I am not worthy for You to enter under my roof;

"I say to you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he."

"And yet wisdom is vindicated by all her children."
