Op. 650, etc. (referring to fut., οὐκ ἄν πώ ποτ' ἐγώ . . ἐλθοίμην Batr. 178 ); usu. preceded by neg. in post- Hom. writers, but πώ ποτ' οὐδαμοῖ Ar. V. 1188: c. fut. in later Gr., κακία οὐχ εὑρεθήσεται ἐν σοὶ π . LXX 1 Ki. 25.28; οὐ μὴ διψήσει π . Ev.John 6:35, cf. PMag.Par. 1.291; also οὐ μὴ γένωνται καθαραὶ π . UPZ 78.27 (ii B.C.); μηδ' ὄψον . . μετὰ τούτου π. δαίσῃ Cratin.Jun. 8: with pres., PMag.Leid.V. 11.30; cf. οὐ π., μὴ π., οὐδεπώποτε, μηδεπώποτε .

II sts., later, without a neg.,

1 with questions which imply a neg. (cf. πω 11), ποῦ γὰρ π. ἄνευ νεφελῶν ὕοντ' ἤδη τεθέασαι; Ar. Nu. 370; ἤδή π. του ἤκουσας; Pl. R. 493d, cf. X. Mem. 2.2.7, etc.: c. fut., τίς γὰρ ἁλώσεται π .; D. 45.45 (s.v.l.).

2. with a conditional clause, εἴ που ξένον τις ἠδίκησε πώποτε Ar. Ra. 147, cf. V. 556, Ach. 405, Pl. Tht. 196a, etc.

3. after Relatives, οὕς φαμεν πώποτέ τι . . πρᾶξαι Id. R. 352c; ἄλλον ὅστις πώποτέ τι γέγραφεν ἢ γράψει Id. Phdr. 258d; ὅσοι ἐμοῦ π. ἀκηκόατε Id. Revelation 19 d, cf. D. 2.5, 4.50, al.

4. with the Art. and Part., οἱ π. γενόμενοι who ever yet existed, Isoc. 10.38, cf. 16.33, Pl. Phd. 116c, etc.: the Part. may be omitted, οἱ π. προδόται Lycurg. 134; μεγίστους τῶν π . X. HG 3.5.14, cf. PLips. 119v . ii 4 (iii A.D.) .
