רָחַק fut. יִרְחַק inf. רָחֳקָה
(1) to go away far, to recede from any one; followed by מִן Ecclesiastes 3:5; Job 30:10 (Chald., Syr., Eth., id. The primary sense appears to have been transitive; to thrust away, to repel, i.q. דָּחַק).
(2) to be afar off, to be distant, remote, Psalms 103:12 followed by מִן and מֵעַל Jeremiah 2:5; Ezekiel 8:6, 11:15 44:10. Often used of God, as being far off from granting help, i.e. as refusing aid, Psalms 22:12, 20 Psalms 22:20, 35:22 of men who abhor fraud, Exodus 23:7; Isaiah 54:14 and on the other hand, from the law of God, Psalms 119:150 they are far off from safety, Job 5:4.

Hiphil
(1) trans. i.q. Piel, Job 13:21, 19:13 Psalms 103:12, “he (God) hath removed our transgressions from us,” i.e. he forgives them to us. Followed by an inf. (Psalms 55:8) and a gerund, adv. חִרְחִיק לָלֶכֶת to go far off, Exodus 8:24. Inf. הַרְחֵק and adv., far off, Genesis 21:16. Hence
