Qal Imperfect 3 masculine singular יִצְלֶה צָלִי Isaiah 44:16 he roasteth a roast; 1 singular אֶצְלֶה בָשָׂר Isaiah 44:19; Infinitive construct לִצְלוֺת 1 Samuel 2:15 give flesh (בָּשָׂר) to roast.
צָלָה to roast, 1 Samuel 2:15; Isaiah 44:16. (Arab. صَلَا id. The signification of roasting and praying (see Chaldee) are referred to the common notion of warmth by Schult. on Har. i. p. 25, to that of softening by Jo. Simonis, in Lex.) Hence צָלִי.
