Pi`el Perfect 3 masculine singular suffix נַשַּׁ֫נִי Genesis 41:51 (E) God hath made me forget + accusative of thing (ַ֯ in 1st syllable only here, influence of מְנַשֶּׁה Ges§ 52 m).

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

נָשָׁה to forget a thing, Lamentations 3:17 a person, i.e. to desert, to neglect him, Jeremiah 23:39. (Arab. نَسِىَ Eth. quadril. ናሕሰየ፡ with the insertion of ח id.)

Niphal, to be forgotten, Isaiah 44:21, לֹא תִנָּשֵׁנִי “thou shalt not be forgotten by me,” for תִּנָּשֶׁה לִי. Kimchi, תִּנָּשֶׁה מִמֶּנִּי. But the Targ. and Yarchi would make Niphal to be the same as Kal, and thus would render “lest thou shouldest forget me;” had this been the meaning it would probably have been אַל תּ׳, not לֹא.

Piel, to cause to forget, followed by two acc., Genesis 41:51.

Hiphil, הִשָּׁה i.q. Piel, Job 39:17, “God has made it (the ostrich) to forget wisdom.” Job 11:6, “know כִּייַשֶּׁה לְךָ אֱוֹהַּ מֵעֲוֹנֶךָ that God has caused to forget for thee a part of thy iniquity;” i.e. has remitted to thee part of thy iniquity.

Derivative נְשִׁיָּה, and the pr.n. יִשִּׁיָּה, מְנַשֶּׁה.

II. נָשָׁה

(1)  to borrow (also written נָשָׁא, see that root No. II. It appears to be of the same origin as נָשָׂא, so that it is properly, to take, receive). Const. absol. Jeremiah 15:10; Isaiah 24:2.

(2) to lend to any one, an iemanden leihen.

(a) followed by בְּ of pers. (see בְּ A, No. 4 ), Jeremiah 15:10, לֹא נָשִׁיתִי וְלֹא נָשׁוּ בִי “I have not borrowed, nor have they lent anything to me.” Isaiah 24:2, כַּנּשֶׁה כַּאֲשֶׁר נשֶׁה בוֹ “as with the debtor, so with the creditor.” Deuteronomy 24:11; Nehemiah 5:10. Part. נשֶׁה creditor, 2 Kings 4:1 Psal. 109:11.

(b) followed by בְּ of price, i.e. usury, or interest. Nehemiah 5:11, “the hundredths of money, אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם נשִׁים בָּהֶם for which (wofür) ye have lent at interest;” i.e. which ye demand from your debtors. Part. נשֶׁה an usurer, Exodus 22:24.

Hiphil, i.q. Kal No. 2, followed by בְּ of pers. to lend to any one, Deuteronomy 15:2, 24:10.
