Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition
נֹפֶת f. (root נוּף see Hiph. No. 2), a dropping down, dripping, hence נֹפֶת צוּפִים dropping of honeycombs, i.e. honey dropping from the combs, i.q. יַעַר (which see), Psalms 19:11. Hence without the gen. צוּפִים id. Song of Solomon 4:11; Proverbs 5:3, 24:13, נֹפֶת מָתוֹק עַל־חִכִּךָ “honey droppings (which are) sweet to thy palate,” (where the predicate מָתוֹק is not inflected; compare Genesis 49:15).
