1192) hu (תההה ThHh) AC: Grind CO: Plaster AB: ?: The pictograph u is a picture of a basket, the h is a picture of a wall. Combined these mean "contain the wall". Limestone was ground into a powder and mixed with water. This plaster is used as a strong and durable coating on floors and walls. Limestone was ingested to calm an upset stomach.

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

טָחָה unused in Kal, to stretch out, to extend. Arab. طحا to spread out.

Pilel part. מְטַחֲוֵי־קֶשֶׁת those who draw the bow, i.e. archers, Genesis 21:16 [i.e. in this passage a bowshot]. As to the form, comp. שָׁחָה, Hithp. הִשְׁתַּחֲוָה.
