move, be agitated, II. set in motion) — only Qal Imperfect 3 masculine singular לֹאיַֿחֲרֹךְ רְמִיָּה צֵידוֺ Proverbs 12:27 slackness (i.e. a slack or slothful man) doth not start its game De RVm, compare Now (> Be Ew after Jewish tradition, doth not roast, Aramaic חֲרַךְ, 
scorch, parch).
II. חרך (√ of following; meaning unknown).
חָרַךְ a root, ἅπαξ λεγόμ. Proverbs 12:27, prob. to burn, to singe (like Chald. חֲרַךְ and Arab. حرق), hence to roast flesh. Prov. loc. cit., לֹא יַחֲרֹךְ רְמִיָּה צֵידוֹ “the slothful man will not roast his prey,” i.e. the lazy man will always be in want of wished-for gain; for nothing is to be procured without labour, der Träge brät kein Wildpret. רְמִיָּה for אִישׁ ר׳. LXX. οὐκ ἐπιτεύξεται θήραν, pursues not prey. Chald. and Syr. נִסְתַּקְבֵּל will take, will catch; but all these translators appear only to have given the sense freely. The signification of taking is indeed drubtful, unless the idea be connected with חֲרַבִּים. C. B. Michaëlis interprets, will catch in a net, making it thus, denom. from חֲרַכִּים net-work, lattice.
