1 instruction, subjective, as personal acquirement; יִלְמְדוּ לֶ֑קַח Isaiah 29:24, they shall learn instruction ("" בִּינָה); וְיוֺסֶף לֶ֑קַח Proverbs 1:5 a wise man will hear and will increase (his) learning, so Proverbs 9:9.

לֶקַח m.
(1) arts, by which any one’s mind is captivated (Kunft iem. einzunehmen), Proverbs 7:21 compare root No. 1, letter c.
(2) doctrine, knowledge, which any one receives, i.e. perceives, or learns (see root No. 2, b; compare Syr. ܩܒܰܠ to receive and learn; Gr. παραλαμβάνω and Lat. accipio), Proverbs 1:5, 9:9 Isaiah 29:24. So far as this is communicated to others, i.q. instruction, the discourse of one who teaches, Proverbs 4:2; Deuteronomy 32:2; Job 11:4.
