אַב Chald. with suffix אָבִי (1 pers.), אֲבוּךְ, אֲבוּהִי, pl. אֲבָהָן (the letter ה inserted, comp. אָמָה) father, i.q. Heb. אָב Daniel 2:23; Ezra 4:15, 5:12. Perhaps used of a grandfather, Daniel 5:2.
