אֲגֻדָּה f.

(1)  a knot, a band; אֲגֻדּוֹת מוֹטָה “bands of the yoke,” Isaiah 58:6.

(2) a bundle, as of hyssop, Exodus 12:22.

(3) a band or troop of men, like the German Bande, 2 Samuel 2:25 comp. חֶבֶל.

(4) arched, vaulted work (Gewölbe), used of the vault of heaven, Amos 9:6 comp. Germ. Gat, Gaden, story of a building; from the verb gaden, gatten, which has the sense of binding together; see Adelung Lex. hh. vv.
