Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition
קָטַל fut. יִקְטֹל to kill, to slay, a poet. word, Psalms 139:19; Job 13:15, 24:14. (Syr. and Chald. id., Arab. قتل, Eth. ቀተለ፡ The primary idea is that of cutting; see קָטַב. To this accords perhaps the Gr. ΚτειΝω.)
