פַּרְעשׁ m.

(1)  a flea, so called from its springing [ 1 Samuel 24:14, 26:20 ]. Arab. بُرْغُوثُ Syriac transp. ܦܽܘܪܬܰܥܢܐܳ.

(2) [Parosh], pr.n. m. Ezra 2:3, 10:25 Nehemiah 3:25.
