עָתָר m.
(1) incense, odoriferous smoke, Ezekiel 8:11, as rightly rendered by the LXX., Vulg., Ch., Syr. Others render it a multitude, comparing the root No. II.
(2) a worshipper of God, Zephaniah 3:10.
