עוּשׁ ἅπ. λεγόμ. Joel 4:11, rendered by the LXX., Targ., Syr., to gather together, to assemble selves. I prefer, to hasten, to make haste, i.q. the kindred roots חוּשׁ, עוּז, and غشّ III. to hasten, to accelerate a work. Compare also עוּת.
