Zab. id.; Eth. with the letters transposed, ተሠሀለ፡ to be merciful, propitious, to pardon; comp. Arab. سهل to shew oneself gentle. The primary idea seems to be that of lightness, lifting up; compare סָלָא, סָלָה).
