סַחַר m. profit, gain, resulting from merchandize, Isaiah 23:18 hence used of any gain, Proverbs 3:14, כִּי טוֹב סַחְרָהּ מִכְּחַר־כֶּסֶף “for her (i.e. wisdom’s) gain is better than that of silver.” Proverbs 31:18.
