1318) qn (נק NQ) AC: Suckle CO: Breast AB: Innocent: The pictograph n is a picture of a seed and represents the sons of the next generation, the q is a picture of the sun at the horizon and the drawing in of light. Combined these mean "child drawn in". The bringing in and holding close of an infant to the breast.

Hiph`il suckle, nurse; — Imperfect 3 feminine singular suffix וַתְּנִיקֵ֫הוּ Exodus 2:9, but see ינק and Ges§ 70e; read probably ׳וַתֵּינ (Samaritan ותיניקהו.
נור (√ of following; compare Late Hebrew נוּר, flame, fire ᵑ7 id.; Arabic , give light, shine, I. (Kam Frey), IV. Lane2864, ; fire, light; Syriac fire; also in proper names, Palmyrene, Punic see Lzb322 Cook81; Minaean מנורת torches (?) Hom Südar. Chrest.128; Assyrian tinûru, furnace, oven (Dl HWB 711) belongs here according to Jäger BAS ii.294).
נוּק i.q. יָנַק to suck, whence fut. Hiphil וַתְּנִיקֵהוּ “and she suckled him,” Exodus 2:9 although by a slight alteration of the vowels we should read וַתֵּנִיקֵהוּ [from יָנַק].
