מַצֶּבֶת f.

(1) i.q. מַצֵּבָה a statue, Genesis 35:14, 20 Genesis 35:20 a monument, a pillar, 2 Samuel 18:18 (in this sense it is also found in the Phœnician inscriptions).

(2) a trunk, stock [of a tree], (from נָצַב to plant), Isaiah 6:13.
