Combined these mean "liquid inside". The marrow is a buttery liquid inside the bones and is used as a choice food. To obtain the marrow, the bone must be struck to break it open.

 [מָחָא] verb strike, only = clap (the hand) (Aramaic form of II. מָחָה q. v.); —

Qal Imperfect 3 masculine plural only figurative, of joy of inanimate things before ׳נְהָרוֺת יִמְחֲאוכָֿ֑ף ׃י Psalm 98:8; הַשָּׂדֶה יִמְחֲאוּכָֽֿף ׃וְכָלעֲֿצֵי Isaiah 55:12. —

Pi`el Infinitive construct suffix id., of exultation over foe יַעַן מַחְאֲךָ יָד Ezekiel 25:6 ("" וְרַקְעֲךָ בְּרָ֑גֶל).

מַחֲבֵא, [מַחֲבֹא] see חבא.

מַחְבֶ֫רֶת, [מְחַבְרָה] see חבר.

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

מָחָא i.q. Aram. מְחָא, ܡܚܳܐ to smite, to strike, used poetically for the common הִכָּה. Followed by כַּף i.q. הִכָּה כַף (2 Kings 11:12), to clap the hands. Psalms 98:8, נְחָרוֹת יִמְהֲאוּ־כָף “let the rivers clap their hands,” as in exultation, Isaiah 55:12.

Piel, id. Ezekiel 25:6 with the addition of יָד. Inf. with suff. מַחַאֲךָ.
