מְגִלָּה f. (from the root גָּלַל), a volume, a book rolled together, as was the ancient custom, Jeremiah 36:14, seq.; Ezekiel 2:9; Psalms 40:8, מְגִלַּת־םֵפֶר “the volume of the book;” κατʼ ἐξοχὴν the book of the law. Syriac ܡܓܰܠܐܳ, ܡܓܰܠܬܐܳ; Arab. مَجَلَّةُ, according to Kam. p. 1416 (not مِجَلَّةُ as it is in Golius).
