מְאוּרָה f. of the preceding, pr. light, hence a hole, through which light shines into the den of a viper (Lichtloch). Vulg. caverna. Isaiah 11:8. It may also be for מְעוּרָה, מְעָרָה, مغارة cavern, א and ע being interchanged.
