לָעַב unused in Kal. Arab. لَعِبَ to play, to jest, also to mock. (Kindred to the verbs לָעַג, לָעַז, see לוּעַ.) Chaldee לְעִיב mockery, אִתְלָעַב to mock at any one. Compare Gr. λώβη, λωβάομαι.
