Pu`al Perfect טָרֹף טֹרַף יוֺסֵף Genesis 37:33 (J) Joseph has certainly been torn in pieces; compare טֹרָ֑ף׳ט Genesis 44:28 (J).

Hiph`il Imperative masculine singular suffix, note especially 2nd accusative לֶחֶם, הַטְרִפֵנִי לָחֶם חֻקִּי Proverbs 30:8 let me devour my appointed bread (of men, late; compare טֶרֶף Proverbs 31:15, and Psalm 111:5; Malachi 3:10).

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

טָרַף fut. יִטְרֹף, once יִטְרַף Genesis 49:27.

(1)  to pluck off (kindred to טָרָה, טָרַם, comp. Gr. θρύπτω), hence Arab. طَرُفَ to be fresh (frifch abgebrochen), Heb. טָרָף, טֶרֶף No. 3.

(2) to pull, tear, in pieces as a wild beast, Genesis 37:33, 44:28 Deuteronomy 33:20 Psal. 22:14 Nahum 2:13. Metaph. used of anger, Job 16:9, 18:4 and thus even of God, Psal. 50:22, פֶּן־אֶטְרֹף “lest I tear” like wild beasts. Hosea 6:1.

Niphal pass. of No. 2. Exodus 22:12; Jeremiah 5:6.

Pual id. Genesis 37:33, 44:28.

Hiphil, to tear up food, i.e. to make some one eat, to feed, Proverbs 30:8. Hence the following words
