1192) hu (תההה ThHh) AC: Grind CO: Plaster AB: ?: The pictograph u is a picture of a basket, the h is a picture of a wall. Combined these mean "contain the wall". Limestone was ground into a powder and mixed with water. This plaster is used as a strong and durable coating on floors and walls. Limestone was ingested to calm an upset stomach.

טוּחַ to spread over, to daub, as a wall with plaster, Leviticus 14:42; 1 Chronicles 29:4 followed by two accus. -Eze. 13:1015 ; 22:28 as eyes that they may not see, Isaiah 44:18. (Arab. طاخ Med. Ye II. to cover over with fat, see Kamûs, p. 328. Compare in the western languages, τέγγω, tingo, tünchen.) Isaiah loc. cit. the pret. is טַח for טָח (as if from טָחַח).
