חָטַף f. יַחֲטֹף i.q. חָתַף to seize, to take with violence, Judges 21:21; Psalms 10:9. (Aram. ܚܛܦܰ, Arab. خَطِفَ id.) Hence pr.n. חֲטִיפָא.
