Pi`el (in poetry & late), tell, declare (Aramaic , חַוֵּי) —
Pi`el Imperfect 3 masculine singular יְחַוֶּהֿ Psalm 19:3; 1 singular אֲחַוֶּה Job 32:10,17; suffix אֲחַוְךָ Job 15:17, אֲחַוֶּךָּ Job 36:2; Infinitive construct חַוֹּת; — declare, make known, with accusative דָּ֑עַת Psalm 19:3 (subject לַיְלָה, followed by לְלַיְלָה; "" יַבִּיעַ אֹמֶר); with accusative דֵּעִי Job 32:10,17; with 2accusative וָאִירָא מֵחַוֹּת דֵּעִי אֶתְכֶם Job 32:6, followed by suffix person + object clause, וַאֲחַוֶּ֑דָּ כִּיעֿוֺד לֶאֱלוֺהַּ מִִלּים׃ Job 36:2 and I will shew thee that (there are) yet words for God; followed by suffix person only Job 15:17; — read probably also וַאֲחַוֶּה for וַאֲקַוֶּה Psalm 52:11 Hi Che and others
חָוָה a root unused in Kal.
(1) properly to breathe (see with regard to this power in the syllable הב, אב, או under the roots אָהַב, אָוָה, הָבַל), comp. Piel. Hence
(2) to live, i.q. חָיָה, compare the noun חַוָּה.
Piel חִוָּה prop. to breathe out, hence to declare, to shew, a word used in poetry instead of the prosaic הִגִּיד (Chald. and Syr. חַיִּיִ, ܚܰܘܺܝ, Arabic transp. وحى, like צִוָּה Arab. وصى). Job 32:10, 17 Job 32:17. Constr. followed by a dative of pers., Psalms 19:3 more often an acc., Job 32:6, with suff. 15:17 36:2. Derivatives אַחְוָה [חַוָּה, חִוִּי, יְחַוְאֵל].
