Isaiah 7:18; Ecclesiastes 10:1, זְבוּבֵי מָוֶת “flies of death,” i.e. deadly, or poisonous [“dead, not poisonous, which is not in accordance with the context.” Thes.]; בַּעַל זְבוּב the lord of flies, see בַּעַל No. 5, letter b.
