דָּוֶה f. דָּוָה adj.
(1) languid, sick, used of women in menstruation. Leviticus 15:33, דָּוָה בְנִדָּתָהּ; Leviticus 20:18. Hence דָּוָה Isaiah 30:22, a menstruous garment, i.e. polluted by the menses.
(2) sick of mind, sad, Lamentations 5:17.
(3) afflicted, wretched, Lamentations 1:13. (Syr. ܕܘܳܐ to grieve, to be unfortunate. Aph. to afflict, to make unhappy. ܕܘܳܝܳܐ unfortunate, unhappy. ܕܘܽܘܳܢܐܳ misfortune, misery.)
