גֶּדֶר m.

(1) i.q. גָּדֵר well, fence. Twice found in const, state (comp. Lehrg. p. 565), Proverbs 24:31; Ezekiel 42:10.

(2) [Geder], pr.n. of a royal city of the Canaanites, Joshua 12:13 perhaps the same as גְּדֵרָה. [Gent. noun גְּדֵרי 1 Chronicles 27:28.]
