בֶּרֶךְ a knee, in sing. once Isaiah 45:23. (Syr. ܒܪܘܽܟ, ܒܘܽܪܟܐܳ, Eth. ብርክ፡ id. Ch. transp. אַרְכּוּבָא.)
Dual בִּרְכַּיִם constr. בִּרְכֵּי knees, not used of two merely, but even of all. כָּל־בִּרְכַּיִם “all knees,” Ezekiel 7:17, 21:12. מַיִם בִּרְכַּיִם “water reaching to the knees,” Ezekiel 47:4. Upon the knees (עַל בִּרְכַּיִם) where new-born children are received by their parents or nurses, Genesis 30:3, 50:23 Job 3:12, and where children are fondled by their parents, Isaiah 66:12.
