(1915), p. 35 ff., and for a suggestion to read φόνον for θόνον, see J. A. Findlay in Exp T xxxvii. (1926), p. 381 f. For Phil I.15 the commentators cite by way of illustration the comic poet Philemon. (Meineke iv. p. 55) πολλά με διδάσκεις ἀφθόνως διὰ φθόνον.
