3. generally, bring to a head, ἔαρ ἐς κορυφὴν τ. [νοῦσον ] Aret. SD 1.16, cf. Phld. Lib. p.31 O.: Pass., to be brought to perfection, Longin. 14.3.

τελεσφορέω, τελεσφόρω; (τελεσφόρος, from τέλος and φέρω); to bring to (perfection or) maturity (namely, καρπούς): Luke 8:14. (Used alike of fruits, and of pregnant women and animals bringing their young to maturity; 4 Macc. 13:19; Theophrastus, Geoponica, Philo, Diodorus, Josephus, others; (Psalm 64:10 () Symm.).)

To the i/A.D. warrant for this word in P Oxy I. 99.5 (A.D. 55) μέρος ἥμισυ τῆς ὑπαρχούσης αὐτῷ μητρικῆς οἰκία [ς ] τριστέγου, ";one half of a three-storeyed house inherited from his mother"; (cf. .15), and ib. VIII. 1105.9 (A.D. 81–96) μερῶν τριῶν ἀπὸ μερῶν πέντε οἰκίας τριστέκου (l. τριστέγου), ";three-fifths of a three-storeyed house"; (Ed.) : add ib. I. 75.18 (A.D. 129) and from A.D. 212, P Lond 1164 (e).7 (= III. p. 160) οἰκίας τριστέγου, This last papyrus shows us the corresponding forms δίστεγος and μονόστεγος.
