I. 162.5 (ii/iii A.D.) ἄλλο (πλάτυμμα) α ̄ ὁμοῖως χρυσοῦν μεικρὸν λεῖον χωρὶ [ς θ ]εοῦ, Michel 833.27 (B.C. 279) φιάλαι χρυσαῖ λεῖαι ἑπτά. Λεῖος <*λει ϝ ος shows kinship with the Lat. l̯vis, which is similarly used of ";unchased"; silver, e.g. Juv. Sat. xiv. 62.
