Strong's #1852 - ἐξυπνίζω
awaken from sleep, οἱ κόρεις εὐχρήστως-ίζουσιν ἡμᾶς Chrysipp.Stoic. 2.334, cf. John 11:11 : — Pass., wake up, LXX Judges 16:14, Plu. Ant. 30, M.Ant. 6.31. (Condemned by Phryn. 200, etc., dub. in Com.Adesp. 43.)
";I wake out of sleep,"; as in John 11:11 (cf. 3Ki. 3:15 [MT 2 Kings 3:15], Job 14:12) is Hellenistic for ἀφυπνίζω (see Lob. Phryn. p. 224) : cf. also ἐξυπνόω in Psalms 120:4 [MT Psalms 121:4] and apparently Vett. Val. p. 344.2 where for ἐξ ὕπνου μέγεθος Kroll reads ἐξυπνουμένη. MGr ξυπνῶ.
